Well the thing is, the longer the season goes for (day after day) it's easier to achieve a higher rank because the better and better decks/players are getting even higher and that is, 'legend' where they are contained there for the rest of the season. The opposite is true at the start of the season. Many people are stuck are 19-20 for days.

Pretending to be all "nah bro i dont care lol xD" is misguiding yourself since putting any effort into "farming" shows you do care but you don't want to admit you're using inefficient practices.

what's the "secret" to drafting minions in arena? I've played arena for months and can never seem to get anything more than 5-3

Give them priority over the other two, in order of relevance:
1.- Would you see the card in constructed without it being part of a combo? (flamestrike, shredder, taz'dingo, etc.)
2.- Do you have the means to make use of it? (picking nerubian egg only if you have at least 2 means of activating it, or picking a mediocre bot like clockwork knight because you have 2 mechwarppers)
3.- Am I in curve? (generally, decks want 3-5 2 drops, 10 3-5 drops, 5 6-7 drops and the rest for spells and lategame

It was not me but I don't play arena a lot and I installed it to get better. It's helps seeing synergies you overlook or simply don't know and what has value in the "arena meta" (inspire cards, discover, etc...).
I'm still bad-average so I don't know if it really helps me but I didn't use it a lot.

Blog/whine post.
I had a pretty terrible time today.
Started at rank 7 as midrange cancer druid. Played 5 games, all 5 of them being against tempo mages with amazing draws. Lost them all.
Then I played zoolock cancer and only faced control warriors and secret paladins (with amazing draws) for 8 games before giving up. Lost these as well.
Then I swapped to egg/token druid for 4 games of which all were against hunters of various kinds. Mind you, I haven't seen hunters for days now before this whole ordeal.
After that I just couldn't take it anymore and stopped playing.
Now I'm not saying matchmaking is rigged, but I am considering it.
