The two problems with SS13 that cause the me the most trouble:

1. You can't talk while doing things, at least not easily. That means you can't roleplay AND do your job (For instance, chatting with your engine buddy while you set up the reactor), and you cant talk during any kind of fight or chase (If you get attacked while alone, you have to decide on the spot whether to yell for help over the radio and hope someone clones you later, or try and defend yourself with no one knowing anything's happening).

2. If you can see them, they can see you. The way view works means that you can't peer from around a corner, peek through a window, or otherwise see someone without them seeing you at the same time.

This makes tons of stuff way harder than it should be, most notably antags. You can't stealthily follow someone, you cant check to see if someone's alone before revealing yourself, you can't check down the hall to see if anyone's coming. The best you can hope for is to hide in a locker or in the shadows, but that only works if you want to stay in one place.

The worst part is there isn't any good way to address these issues because they're just part of how the game works.I guess in any other engine you could adopt a Terraria-style view attached to the mouse, so looking farther away means you can see less closer to you, but that's not possible in BYOND.

I'd have so much more fun if I could order a criminal to surrender without giving them a 5-second window to kill me or run away, or if I could shoot the breeze with someone while still preforming my duties, without pausing what I'm doing every 10 seconds to type.

toilets ought to serve a purpose, as it stands they're only useful for hiding tator items or making chloral. a more in-depth plumbing system would also give engineers a little more to do than just sit around after setting up the sing. we're a (relatively) mature playerbase and i think we could develop a waste management system that's enriching gameplay-wise, and not a goonfest, chimp exhibit, delhi simulator. still, i know a lot of people are apprehensive about features like these, so for those who find that content off-putting or just don't want to bother we would also implement diapers. they'd be an underwear option in character setup. to ease players into waste-related content, they could give a bit of flavor text occasionally or something idk just spitballing lol

The sleepers have soporific, silly, not stoxin.

There are a few important differences between stoxin and soporific:
Stoxin has a slower metabolism - half the normal rate.
Sopo can be considered "beneficial" in that it removes all stun, weaken, paralysis, dizziness, drowsyness, stuttering, confusion, jitter, and oxygen damage after having been in your system for enough time - 25 ticks or 5 units. You'll usually never need this and your patients will be asleep for this period.
Stoxin adds paralysis counters, whereas soporific adds sleeping counters - same thing chloral adds. This can be an important difference as things like synaptizine remove paralysis, not sleeping (although I imagine the sleeper Wake-Up Cycle removes all sleeping anyway)
