It's not so much that it's not good, it's that beth didn't bother to polish it properly. Having an active modding community isn't an excuse for laziness - no modder can add new dialog options and plot twists to the main storyline the depth it needs.

Not nearly enough was done with the Minutemen (or the Atom Cats, for that matter). Have the Minutemen team up with the Atom Cats, in a campaign to purge the Gunners from Quincy, and you'd start seeing Minutemen in faction-painted power armor.

I figured out that if you put a full body armor on them, for example the Metal Spike armor with the helmet included. Equip that and then equip a regular hat or whatever that overrides the full body armor, remove said hat and the character should be naked.

Either like someone else said, change it to like T-47 or T-48 or something like that, or if that doesn't count, make it so the BoS made it.

Alternatively if it has to remain Pre-war, explain the T-45 like appearance on it being built like, at least outwardly, the T-45 because unlike the T-51 it's not made out of Ceramics, but steelplates like the T-45, this could have been done in lore to cut costs, internally in terms of the servos and such (barring the whole all power armors use the same frame thing I'm assuming that's mostly game-play or that there's also parts on the armor it's self judging by the servo mods and shit) are all based on the T-51, but still you'd be more hampered in terms of movement due to how it's built, but still more mobile than in a T-45.

As for the name, it'd just be on that line of the concepts, the T-52-59 could be armors that never made it passed the concept/protyping phase.

On the whole protection thing, instead of being better than the T-51, it shouldn't, it should infact due to it basically being a cheap off shoot of it and the T-45 to save money, should be worse, at least in energy protection, say maybe that the steel plate doesn't dissipate the heat as well, and maybe to balance it out, due to how bulky/thick it is maybe it has better ballistic protection.

If the PA worked like it used to effecting SPECIAL (Barring mods) it'd be like the T-45 and limit agility.

I put way to much thought into stupid shit like this don't I? Anyways that's what I'd do I guess.

Doesn't really tell us how much content there'll be, how many dungeons, how many quests, how many hours the average player will get out of it (surely they know from their playtesters), what %water the map is, leaves us guessing if they mean purely X/Y (2D map) or X/Y/Z (+height/depth)

Bethesda game have, and will, always be behind graphically, like most MMOs, because they are not yearly release like CoD games are, and thus can't always take advantage of many tech advances in the last few years.

On top of that, the freedom offered by the game, such as being able to pick up every fork, results in a lot of processing power being sent to managing all the items, which other game's dont have to deal with since either no such objects exist, or they are predominantly glued to one spot in the case of GTA and Witcher games, which further results in a drop of graphical quality in favor of being able to do more.

E.g. fully upgraded Assaultron parts + top tier melee weapons allows the robot to deal 80-90 damage a swing, double that if they do they two arm attack.

I had a handybody with the square camera, tracks and double miniguns, looked like a fuckin weaponized mars rover.
Replaced the body with a sentry for clusters and a gun for missiles and the shithead only attacks once every 10 seconds and even then only one weapon is used.

I thought about that when I wrote about them, actually. Spiders haven't got any armour to their body, but they're fast, poisonous, venomous, can climb across all surfaces and they have numbers to back them up.
Make it so the radspiders aren't deathclaw tier strong, but should you get caught on a sticky spot (webs are no good at their size, so they'd rely on sticky spit traps) or wander too close to a nest, MANY would be on you within a second or two.

Now, to make matters worse and actually make them more than an a area hazard in the story; I also wrote that they would be nomadic feeders; leaving the nest when prompted by hunger. It wouldn't just be one or two, it would be nearly the whole colony, rampaging as a single ball of fast moving death.
THAT is how Fallout radspiders could be done, and is how I'd expect for them to be done well.
Put a whole bunch of them together and you could have enemies that drop pretty easily, but can pose a serious threat if they get close.
Kind've like how ghouls tend to be.

You had to go to Concord for the MM guys and you would need a secret way in/out of your house to keep Preston away.

Take Dogmeat/Codsworth and run the roads, explore and discover new locations, don't fight if you can help it, loot and Fast Travel home.

Randomly generated locations on a vast expanse of terrain is good because it adds a lot of replayability. There comes a time when you know every location by memory, and the game stops being exciting. That's my case at least.

Bethesda supposedly didn't even start planning the DLC until after launch, meaning there was no point when this was planned to be in the base game.
Unlike EA/Activision, who actively cut content and dish it out later as DLC, or hire some intern to model a new gun, adjust a few numbers, and call it "new content"

I mean there should have already been more quests like it, that are actually interestinf and have something more than kill loot return. Reading about the creation of robobrains was reall neat, as well as the whole facility they were built in. The fact that you could walk through the entire process and read about conflicts between different groups of the staff over ethics and procedure and all that was neat. It wasn't just a generic ruin full of baddies like everything else. Like I said the new feature makes sense as dlc but I felt like I was paying for quality that should have come with the game.
