I kinda get the feeling that current-Chloe would be the kind of person who might adopt something like a semi-feral goat that escaped from a farm yard a few towns over.

It would just be like a goatbro, kinda like "Gary the Goat" over on YouTube. Mostly just chills in the backyard eating whatever shit it wants, kinda low maintenance in that way. Kinda scrappy, just like Chloe. Sometimes it escapes and Chloe gets angry phone calls from neighbours down her street who have come home to find the goatbro nibbling on their clothes on their washing line. Speaking from my own experience:
The time between Episodes 3 and 4 was full of speculation about what was causing the storm since it was happening in two timelines, also what Chloe would do when she meets Rachel again. The time between 4 and 5 was magical and full of talking about how Max would fix everything, if her and Jefferson would get into some time travel fight, how many endings there would be, what will happen to the other characters.
I miss it dearly.

I agree. I don't think there has been a decrease in the comfy/ cute level, it just seems that way since there's a lot more venting and anger occurring in the threads.
The disappearance of posters with names/trips also make it seem like the threads declined. But considering the game is over and the discussion topics are now relegated to filling in the blanks or creating interesting ideas, I think we're doing fine. Especially since the initial anger and disappointment faded. We're all still annoyed obviously, but it doesn't fill the threads like it did.

That is really grasping at straws.
The message times are in the game and were being used to relay information from other characters to add to the story and have been consistent throughout the entirety of the game. They picked the times they were sent. They could have had Max get it while driving or right as she gets out of the Dark Room. They didn't. .
There are some inconsistencies with dates, but those are not important and just serve as background information.
And even if the times were meaningless, Max was passed out for a significant amount of time (Long enough for Chloe to drive to the lighthouse and then carry Max up the hill while she was in the nightmare) it was only after they were up there that the storm makes landfall. Again, more time for people to decide to either takes shelter or run.

I'm not going to abandon logic, things I saw in the game, and reasoning just to give into some bullshit notion that 'everybody died and it's Max's fault'.

Reminder that the storm is caused by an Indian curse punishing the disturbance of sacred ground, intentionally triggered by the Prescotts so that they could own all of Arcadia Bay after its destruction (their destiny). This plan has been in the works for generations and there is nothing that can be done to stop it by the time Max enters the picture. The same spirit forces facilitating the storm, while unable to prevent what has already been set in motion, are fundamentally good, and select a champion to be bestowed with special powers so that they might prevent as much innocent death as possible in the coming catastrophe. Rachel was the first chosen, but she was lost, so Max became champion in her place.
All of this is revealed by the spirit of Rachel who appears to Max in a dream-like vision while she is drugged out and near-death in Jefferson's dark room.
The entirety of ep5 is not canon obviously.

I was expecting an ending similar to Band of Brothers where Max would narrate over what she and everyone else did with their lives. Where they went, a brief idea what the did, etc.. And then to make it consistent with the game showing some of the events of the epilogue through Polaroids.
It wouldn't need to be a fully animated scene, but stuff should have changed based on what you did in the game. It would not have been hard or especially costly to give characters a few possibilities (Record the different dialogue routes and then use the data from the choices to pick which ones play for each character).
After that give the player one last chance to read through the diary (Which can have a few entries from the future focuses specifically on Max's life) and then roll the credits.

Don't know if anything changed since this was implemented, and I don't even know if it's accurate, but I'm inclined to believe rather than not.

O-Only the "Save as JPEG" step is compression though, right? Copy-pasting into a program is pixel-accurate, and so is PNG?
