my sympathy is gone. also he didnt shill this anywhere. the actual release was happening days before he made one tweet about it and i had to double-check to see if it was actually out.
>>
>>134838620
Those are pretty important aspects of a vn. What else is he supposed to do, pretend they're inconsequential and leave them out of the poll? Considering most people seem to take issue with the art, that'd be a pretty stupid thing to do.
>>
>>134838620
>thinking it's considered "singling someone out" for putting art on a poll about a game that bombed

Do you realize how dumb that sounds? It's not even saying "the art is bad", it's just a style that's not marketable and his fanbase is not interested in.
>>
>>134838759
yeah but who made the decision to hire those people? not like the artist forced WW to put his art into the game.

the reality is that
>>134838190
>>134837623
are the real answers.
>>
>>134839163
It doesn't matter how the art got there or who's to blame for picking that artist. All that matters is that it is there and it's a significant reason why people didn't give it a chance. That's not blaming the artist, it's just an unfortunate reality that needs to be addressed so that the same mistake isn't repeated next time.
But yes, an uninteresting option should've been included as well.
>>
Should one with that art style expect to win against moe/anime art games?
>>
>>134839163
to expand on this, what is this game even about? it offers an impressive 8 love interests and yet

>Planet Stronghold: Colonial Defense brings you back in time in the early settlement days of the Planet Stronghold colony.

>By a bizarre coincidence, two captains, two siblings, get stuck in the same colony: Alex and Diana Nelson. Take control of one of them, and discover the mysteries and the dangers of Planet Stronghold, and the personalities of the various characters of your team.

>The game features a big card-collectible gameplay part, easy to learn but hard to master. Upgradable cards brings even more replayability, especially at higher difficulty levels.

>For those looking forward more to the story and visual novel/dating sim aspect, you can play the game in "Visual Novel Mode" and enjoy the game dialogues and the beautiful painted artwork style: there are eight characters to befriend, and if you play your cards right, romance!

is the description. where is the reason to play this game if im not into card battles, which he has included a story mode to skip completely? what mystery and dangers? what characters can i fuck?

>>134839434
in my experience games do not bomb for one single issue a clusterfuck of several is usually the problem, so this poll asking to pick one is dumb. i am in complete agreement that the art is an eyesore.

this is all conjecture though. for all we know WW made a decent amount with this release and was not happy with it for reasons.
>>
> people thinking it wasn't the art

People, WW knows very well (as people have told him so) that his players like his game for the romance first, everything else second. You could have the most interesting game in the world but if your players want to date robots and space marines and yet you make them ugly, they aren't going to buy the game.
>>
>>134837483
>Why you didn't buy PSCD
The story seems boring, I don't care about the TCG portion, the art is unappealing, and the waifus do nothing for me.

Not that I'm going to register to tell him that but who knows, he might read /vg/ or somebody from here might browse his forums.

His lack of advertising aside, the game is tagged visual novel, but isn't showing up on the visual novel list. Not sure if the other tags are effected to. It would make it harder for interested parties to find. Did he break its visibility by putting a release date that was in January?
>>
>>134837483
>WinterWolves
> I will discover it soon once I officially release C14 Dating
Well, the good news about C14 Dating is one of the minigames is actually fun because they simply copied Mario's Picross, and the art will probably not make people go wtf the whole time.

The bad news is the writing is pretty bland but it seems that hasn't stopped his older games from being successful.

Random question: Does an actual theme song for them game increase revenue by so much it's actually a sound business decision to get one?

So, why not save money and just use the reference?

Even if something costs money, that doesn't make it better. /evn/ has complained before when custom assets looked/sounded like they're stock?
>>

While I agree something costing money doesn't mean it's better, you'd have to have picked a very bad artist to get a result like that.

>you'd have to have picked a very bad artist to get a result like that
Welcome to LSF.

Anyone know an anime-style artist that can draw guys, doesn't make girls have turbo tits, doesn't disappear, isn't a snail at getting working done, and doesn't cost $500 per CG? I was thinking of something like Doomfest's artstyle.
>>
>>134847765
WW is that you ?
>>
>>134848817
maybe because your reference is expensive? for example, if I tell them I like the sound of "bad romance" a song with a similar beat will be much more cheaper than buying a liscence grom gaga.

I worked in marketing 8 years. That isn't marketing, it's attention-whoring. Marketing implies he'd try to get attention from non-consumers by presenting the product as something interesting. What he's doing is crying over not selling to his own fanbase about what he cannot accept is just an unappealing product in a very teenage "no one understands" manner.

Yeah, at the cost of losing however much money you put into the original art. Of course, you have to weigh that pretty carefully against the risk of the game not selling altogether as a result. No one here is doing that. If you put out a bad product, you are going to have to listen to people saying it's a bad product.

>It's just this kind of stuff that prevents people from wanting to post their progress.
It's always been like this and we still have a consistent userbase. Maybe you're just not fit for /evn/ and would feel better on a different community, but don't think for one second that we'll change based on your sensibilities because it's not stopping the rest of us from discussing ours and others' projects. If anything, it is refreshing to get people being honest to the point of being harsh rather than seeing cliques circlejerking as in other communities.
>>

>>
>>134885109
Circlejerking is the last thing I'd want as well. I've been here for some time, and that's part of the reason I'm still here. I've posted progress multiple times and value feedback that isn't concerned about appearances.

>it's not stopping the rest of us from discussing ours
It is. That's why I felt like saying this. I can't count how many times I've seen people say they've made progress, but are completely unwilling to actually show anything because they're worried about it getting dumped on. I'm sure there are a number of people who come in here only to leave when they see what happens to work that's deemed bad. We get maybe a handful of posts that are relevant to a user's project and it's not that uncommon for an entire thread to go by with nothing.

Anyway, just felt like getting that off my chest. I'll fuck off now and stop dragging this out.

>Against my better judgement, I ended up buying this. I figured it'd either be a Hatoful Boyfriend-esque exercise in clever writing within an incredibly dumb premise, or it'd be trash. So far the end result has been somewhere inbetween. I do enjoy that nearly all the jokes so far have been based on either historical events or using military terminology as sexual innueno, rather than 'the girls are also tanks! Isn't that wacky?!' that I kind of expected. When they're not just taking scenes out of Firefly and Blackadder and slapping them in, anyway. Is it still satire or referential if you use almost exactly the same dialogue as the source? I have no idea.

I don't do art, but I've been hired by people to redo their music in similar situations. Sometimes, those people had complained about my rates and gone with different freelancers (who couldn't deliver on time or be consistent in quality) first, so of course, I felt sorry they spent money and time, I can't say there wasn't a bit of schadenfreude in that because when people just don't respond or say they can't afford you, that's cool, everyone has their own circumstances; but for someone to be vocal and even rude about how they think you ask for too much and then get sorely disappointed by people who asked for less and realize there were indeed shortcomings in just picking the cheapest option... there is a bit of a sick pleasure to it.

>>
>>134944480
That depends on the quality you want to have, the size of your project, amount of the cgs/bgs/sprites.
But if you want your vn to look decent, have about 20cgs, 10bgs, 10 sprites, you should save somewhere between 3000 to 6000$.
>>
>>134944670
Is it easy to get the game on Steam if the quality is that high? I know there's a greenlight fee but it seems like everything gets through.

10 Sprites is quite a lot, actually. 10 characters, and you should expect them to have a few expressions, 2 poses, and maybe an additional outfit.

That's not a very high quality, actually, but decent. Getting something to steam isn't this difficult. You can do it two ways:
1. Contact sekai and lose about a chunk of your revenue, but they'll push the button "release" for you.
2. Do a greenlight, which might take a few months even, depending on your marketing.

Ren'Py is really easy to get a grip on.

Do you really think it's necessary? If it's a recurring element of the game, sure, go for it, but if it happens like 3-4 times, and will have only about a minute of screen time, don't bother.
Instead you can have a list of choices with thumbnail versions of the locations.

ha ha, you beat me to it anon.

This is pretty much the same as the last one, with a few notable changes:

* all backgrounds match the descriptions now. (For example, you may remember that Sebastian's office used to have a day variation when Chris said they had a night shift.)

* there's music. Most of it is stock, but now you have the option to listen to something besides silence while playing.

* there was one CG missing, it's now in the game.

* some minor edits to the narration.

* general correction of grammar and spelling.

For those of you who have trouble with itch.io, here's a dropbox link (I uploaded to itch.io first because the analytics are useful):

It's just a general 4chan mentality. Try to think about it like that: you're throwing a cookie you just baked into a giant cesspool. When you take it out, it'll be covered in shit. But there's a chance there'll also be a corn kennel or a small sugar sprinkle. Disregard the shit, and embrace the kennel.
>>
>>134956815
You can, but unless you've worked with an artist enough to know their reliability curves, this may be misleading.

Remember the Royal Trap sprites. First sprite fine, later sprites decent sketches but weird finals, sprites slowly getting worse and worse as they went along....

Sometimes it's just not as easy as looking at their first test and going yes/no

What's with the hate on all of 4chan against so-called "ideaguys" and writefags?

I took /evn/'s advice and asked everywhere, /co/ (and co drawthreads and art threads), /a/, /i/, /ic/ (ic thread got deleted actually), and even on other sites looking for people to collaborate with, and I constantly got major shit. I just want people who want to chill and talk about a project and try and make something together, nothing overly serious, but then I got shit like this:

https://warosu.org/ic/thread/S2439342

I'm the guy who made the shitty Life is Strange practice VN to learn TyranoBuilder. Didn't think it'd be this hard to find other people to work with but I've tried for like 2 weeks straight and only got like 2 emails back, only optimistic about 1 guy and he only wanted to do like storyboarding.

How do I find artists to work with anons?

There is a very low bar for being a writer or ideaguy, especially the latter. If you don't have anything to show then people aren't going to take you seriously. Your best bet is writing as much as you can while showing off snippets of it and informing people of the word count that you have finished. Better yet, make the vn with placeholders and release a demo of sorts. Just be aware that even with a substantial amount of work done, people are extremely wary of wasting their time or getting hyped for a project that may fall apart. The best you can do is try to alleviate that concern as much as possible.

>What do you even want to make? Have you written anything else?
>>135040101
>Better yet, make the vn with placeholders and release a demo of sorts.

Part of the point of this is to make friends. Since I don't have any now. I haven't written very much, but I have in the past. The fun for me would be going back and forth and world building developing a story with someone else. I'm not too particular on what it is.
>>

>Since I don't have any now. I haven't written very much, but I have in the past. The fun for me would be going back and forth and world building developing a story with someone else. I'm not too particular on what it is.
Here's how you do that: write a lot, show it to people, and you may find someone who likes your writing and your ideas who'd be willing to collaborate with you. You can't ask someone to collab on a story with you without showing them what your stories are like.

>>
>>135040627
Also, "hey I want to make a story about whatever, I'm not sure what it is yet" is really only something you can say to a friend. You're never going to get a random off the internet when you tell them you have literally nothing.
>>
>>135039458
That thread was way tamer than I thought it would be. Frankly, you got off pretty easily. I went in fully expecting them to tear you a new asshole.
But yes, like everyone else is saying, you need to put in the work and show off what you can do or nobody is, or should have, any faith in you. Even if you had friends, that doesn't automatically mean they'd be interested in devoting their time and effort towards a vague undefined project. The only way you're going to do that is by showcasing your effort and ability.
>>
>>135040251
>I'm not too particular on what it is.
This is the problem. You want to work on something but you don't even know what it is? You're just in the clouds fantasizing how great it would be to collaborate on some non-existent "fun project".

Get out of the clouds, write something then find interested people. Failing that, join an existing group. I'm warning you that making something, anything, isn't always "fun".

If you're simply looking for friends you're in the wrong place.

>Part of the point of this is to make friends. Since I don't have any now. I haven't written very much, but I have in the past. The fun for me would be going back and forth and world building developing a story with someone else. I'm not too particular on what it is.

I'm not trying to shit on you, but you're taking this all wrong. If you want to make friends, make friends and don't muddle things up by throwing a "for fun" project into the equation. The problem I see over and over with people who are lonely and awkward is that they always look for people to be friends with without trying to be a friend one would want FIRST and then they wonder why no one wants anything to do with them. If you're using this project to give you something that could be interesting about you, you'll find that most people see right through it and those who don't will eventually cut off contact with you without even explaining why. They'll stop replying your mails and PMs or suddenly be very busy and be unable to work on the project.

If you want to write and you like doing that - and I don't know that you do, given how you're skirting around doing the actual work - just write and read and produce stories and post them around. Don't do that with the expectation of positive feedback or a pat on the back, just work, work, work, work, work and let it be your main satisfaction. After you have something to offer, people will come and real commitment is a much more endearing trait than a half-hearted attempt at a project. If you're as aimless in life as you came across in your posts here and on the thread you linked, people just won't come to you. At most, you'll get other people like you, who couldn't find anyone else who would spend their time with them. You'll just end up dragging each other down.

So ask yourself whether you really want to make this project or if you're trying to make a substitute for a fun personality or the ability to empathise or a sharp intellect.

I understand that the critique of the genre as a whole is valid, but you cannot bring something like that up without being more specific because then there's no way for the dev to answer without sounding like they are either dismissing your critique, mildly insulting people that for better or worse make up the fanbase or "my game is not like THOSE other games".

You know feel the pain similar to the one other creators feel when they make an eroge, or show some female nudity in their games, when they're judged for objectifying women, etc. etc.
Some people just don't understand the fact some games are made for fun, and they'll want to shoehorn their own ideas and agendas info what you do. Oh, and if you disagree with them you're automatically (select one, many or all of the following): sexist, ableist, transphobic, homophobic, progressive liberal cretin, conservative shitlord, degenerate, jew shill, traitor of the white race, feminazi, cis scum.
>>
>>135059901
Handling such comments on Steam is tougher though, since it's obvious when you ignore people on the Steam forums. And of course, people love their twitter drama.
>>
>>135060198
Really, ignoring them is the best thing to do. Even if they know you ignore them, they'll eventually go away. Another thing you can do is being blunt and telling them go fuck themselves, but if you don't have an established fanbase that's only waiting to be released like vicious hounds upon a prey, and who will help you in shitting all over the shitters, you might be overrun by trolls.
>>
>>135059901
>hen they're judged for objectifying women, etc. etc.
Why do you even care?

It's important to take objective feedback into consideration. If somebody tells you your VN reads like crap because you can't hold a consistent tense, you should check to see if it's problem.

If somebody tells your VN, Burning Semen Toddler Rape 2: Futanari Loli Attack, objectifies women you should simply tell them you don't give a fuck.

>>
>>135063554

>>
>>135060702
Very few things are truly 'objective', and telling people to accept only 'objective' feedback gives them great excuses for ignoring "your writing style is shit", "this is badly paced", "that's not a 'twist' that's a shitty swerve that makes no sense" because that's just, like, your opinion, man.

However, taking feedback into consideration doesn't mean you have to act on it. If someone tells you your ridiculous nukige is objectifying, then "yes, and?" is a perfectly sensible reaction.

If you meant for gays to like your game and 99 of them do and 1 is pissy, you can listen to the pissy dude but you certainly have no obligation to throw out the other 99 just to make him happy.

>>
>>135063448
They're banned, so they can't complain about being censored. If you do it fast enough so that nobody else notices what they posted, no one will complain.

If you're too slow, then you ban them, answer their post noncommittally, and everyone else will only see that you got the last word and they gave up.

>>
>>135063668
Once the game page is created, I don't think you have the ability to close it. People like to use it to ask questions and talk about the demo etc, before the game is released.
>>
>>135063731
> I make music for projects

>>
>>135063790
The problem would be if they take their complaints to twitter or some other public space you have no control over.
>>
>>135065413
True, although most of the time, if you don't feed the fire, a single person whining that they're being mistreated will be ignored by the larger population, which has many more interesting things to get pissed off about.

If a guy is whining that you're an evil infiltrator feminazi pushing a liberal agenda to his handful of friends who probably weren't going to buy your game anyway, that's much less trouble than if he's ranting on your steam forum where customers are going to see it.
>>
>>135066026
Being called transphobic or homophobic on twitter could get quite a bit of negative attention though, since people just love to jump in to a conversation when they've never played the game before.
>>
>>135059901
Sometimes I worry about writing characters with 'problematic' opinions/world views because I worry people will think that's what I think, even if it isn't. It becomes even more problematic when writing a 'problematic' character as a 1st person narrator, because it makes it easier for people to assume the character is you venting your opinions, even if it isn't...
>>
>>135067080
Do you really think the entire internet notices every time some guy with 50 followers says "Game X is homophobic"?

The temptation you have to fight against is the urge to respond to it yourself. Even if you say something completely polite! The act of replying to some random guy's opinion automatically focuses WAY more attention on that opinion. It's almost certain that you have more followers with an opinion about the game than GuyRandom does. The absolute last thing you want is your fanbase jumping on GuyRandom and telling him he's a fuckface who should shove his opinions up his ass, because that's a great way to turn it into a big fight that people who know nothing about the game at all feel compelled to jump into just for funs.
>>
>>135067629
Everyone's opinions are problematic.

I don't mean that entirely flippantly. I agree that it is a problem that some people will often think you, the developer, hold or promote an opinion because one of your characters does, especially if it's a first-person character. Not EVERYONE will think that because not everyone is stupid. It will happen, though.

You can put a disclaimer that the views espoused do not necessarily represent the producer etc, but not everyone will read or believe that. Disclaimers don't protect you from idiots because idiots aren't thinking about it that deeply.

However, it's not possible to avoid all potentially problematic opinions. No matter what you write your character thinking or doing, someone's going to think it's rude, bigoted, inappropriate, etc.

It's important to temper your expectations and start with the understanding that you can't get 100% approval. Then figure out what level of approval is actually a problem for you.

I'm sure it's been addressed before since I've missed a few days around here, but somehow having all of the dialogue in ALL CAPS doesn't seem like a good idea. I hope it's just because of the font and they didn't write the whole script like that.

I think one of the problems of the game is that everything about it screams "mobage" while it's trying to be PC quality.
>>
>>135094117
Could you explain? I don't really know much about mobage besides gacha hells.
>>
>>135094117
Based on the promo page, I don't feel it sounds like a mobage itself but it does sound like that's more what she's familiar with and what she's contrasting herself against.

She doesn't say much about the plot (after all, plot is barely even a thing to THAT crowd) and is proud of the 'diversity' of having a single yuri option in her otome game (which is quite common in western-made otome games)

The "date edition" thing is very mobile-style though, and seems a really bizarre thing to put out before the game is even available! Why would I want to enjoy fluffy love-love time with guys who I haven't yet gone through the process of getting to know?

The GUI is really simple and the design (big font, big buttons, takes up a lot of he screen) is the kind that you'd see in a game designed for a mobile screen.

I have a game that is fairly long for an EVN (140k) with a large amount of art assets except for CGs. Would $8-10 be fair? That's a comparable price for a paperback of the same nature.
>>
>>135124368
that sounds more like $15 to me. Remember, a book is only words, a vn is everything put together.
>>
>>135124368
That's a $15-20 game. You don't need to price yourself so low.

These games are pretty niche, and you're not going to suddenly earn a lot more sales by competing on price, you're just going to lose money. You want to make sure your game isn't way overpriced, sure (although even that can be a beneficial strategy at times) but you don't need to bend down so far.
>>
>>135124368
depends. is it a KN? is the art really good or only passing? do you have any other gameplay factors? this is not enough info to go off of.
>>
>>135124596
>>135125118
$15-20 just seems really high. The quality is there, but limited choices and the lower number of CGs just makes me feel everyone will pass over me at that price.

>>135126261
It's not kinetic, but the choices are few. The art is good. There's no other gameplay factors in it. I was hoping to get some into it, but they didn't fit in very well and were dropped.

It's easier to move the price down than up. Sit it at $15 with a nice launch discount and see what people make of it?

On the subject of pricing, what do you guys think would be an appropriate price for a VN with a large focus on adult content?

As it stands I have 10 lewd scenes planned out that would each have CG with multiple poses/expressions with a word count that's looking to be 70k/80k judging from how things are going so far.

I was thinking of going with a fairly low price (between $5 and $10), but am wondering if 10 CGs would be enough to justify that price range, considering the CGs would be the main appeal of it all.

Most players won't notice these. It seems normal people only play the game once, maybe twice if there's a choice that makes them choose between saving one of their favorite characters and letting another die.

Or maybe if another waifu appealed to them.

You can write 500k worse divided into dozens of branches but if the average game is only 40k words long, people will complain.

>>135129663

As for notable monstergirl EVNs, there aren't any that I can think of but MGQ and Okasare Yuusha are pretty damn popular as far as niche fetish material goes. And what with the monstergirl boom in anime and manga now, you've definitely got an audience.

The writing is pretty bad. It covers almost none of the fun situations that could arise from something like that, if I remember correctly. Only 2 routes, all characters with sprites are actually in that picture.

>>135130893
Will do. I'll probably put up a demo that contains the first two CGs on itch.io soon to see if I can gather any interest, and then consider my options on how to sell it from there. Since, I don't think I can sell it directly on itch.io, can I? Because of PayPal's issues with adult content.

>>135131273
I think Steam is out of the question entirely, as it's not really a game that would work with the erotic content stripped out at the start. The game IS the erotic content after all, unless I spent extra money on non-ero alternative CGs, which wouldn't be worth it in the end I think. But as I've mentioned above, I'm not sure of my alternatives, because of the stigma of it being an adult game. There's Mangagamer, I guess. DLSite, too?

>>135131565
I was already playing around with sound effects of leather tightening, to try and make it sound like tentacles squeezing tight. Was fun. I'm not really sure where to even begin looking for actual sex sound effects, though, unless there are comprehensive libraries of that kind of stuff for free use. And yeah, I'm the one who posted the mummy before. I'll post it again so that the other guy wanting to see sprites can see it, too.

You can thank MGQ for satisfying fetishes people weren't aware they had. I don't think you'll have any trouble finding an audience. If you're far enough along you might even want to show your stuff to the guys in the MGQ general to get their thoughts. If they're still alive anyway.

MGQ was definitely responsible for the fetishes I have today. It was like having some kind of spiritual sexual awakening. I was disgusted and horrified at some of the creatures, but couldn't stop playing. Vore is still too much for me though, even today.

I'm wondering if the guys in the MGQ general would like it, though, since the story is really lighthearted/silly and only exists to bridge the gaps between the sex scenes. It wouldn't ever come close to what the MGQ story ended up being across its three chapters. It does unfold into something bigger than you might expect, but I wouldn't be attempting to emulate what MGQ turned into by the end.

Any successful attempts? The last time it happened, it was awkward as hell.
>>
>>135136069
In all seriousness I do know voice actresses that have no problem doing adult content. Would the H-scenes benefit from being fully voiced like the major ones were in MGQ?

And I wasn't being serious about pitch-shifting my voice. I'm not sure if I would be able to live knowing that all over the world men were fapping to my voice, even in an altered form. ;_;
>>
>>135136669
I thought it was typically only female characters that are voiced, especially in sex scenes.
>>
>>135136669
Honestly, in English? Probably not, unless you've got real high quality ones on your hands.

I know, I was just joking.
>>
>>135136669
Good voice acting makes an H-scene VASTLY improved. I generally can't be turned on unless I think someone else is. A silent naked girl is nowhere near as hot as a naked girl moaning.

On the other hand, bad voice acting can completely ruin it. You can at least turn off the terrible voices but they do spoil things.

So it really comes down to whether you can bring the goods.
>>
>>135136870
>>135139209
Thanks guys.

I guess it doesn't hurt to at least explore my options and see who might be interested in such a project, and if their voice was suitable for it.

Don't worry though, I would only end up hiring them if I truly thought they added to the scenes. I've seen English dubbed hentai before, and yeah, I wouldn't want that level of quality.

I've never played Huniepop, but that was voiced, yeah? Did that include the h-scenes? Were people generally receptive of those VAs?

I never thought in my life I would be emailing girls asking if they can make lewd noises for me in exchange for money before.

Reading the goon LP thread for We Know The Devil and watching them get to JP's review and how much they're mocking him for "completely missing the point" makes me feel defensive of the poor nitwit.

I mean, yes, he did seem to miss at least some of the point and what the characters' emotional realities are, but the laughing goons seem equally as blind to understanding why a devout christian might be upset by the concept.

It IS very short and thin and largely unexplained and left to the player's imagination. There are some neat lines, if you dig into the meaning hard enough. It's clearly very meaningful and deep to some people who connect with it, but to a lot of others it's unfulfilling, even baffling.

So I could be reading this completely wrong, but I'm reading this as 'If you want it to be good, it's good'! /evn/ keeps bringing up We Know The Devil from time to time, but there is never an argument for why it's good: just justification for why people get emotionally invested into it. He has actually agreed with that in many forum posts elsewhere. I get the feeling the reason he's going for "manga only" is actually him saying that he has insufficient ability to judge the goodness and likability of non-anime-style art.

I mean, he could put up samples and get opinions?

But he may think it's easier to stick to something traditional.
>>
>>135173310
True Love.
>>
>>135175051
Do you have the posts in question? I've never seen him agree that the art might just have been bad, and his options poll reflect that he thinks it's a problem of style rather than quality.

I'm not sure that asking for opinions on his own forums would be all that useful, either. A lot of people tend to be encouraging more than honest once they feel part of a community.

But really, from what I've seen of the game there are a couple of interesting ideas buried under a load of usability issues in an unoriginal game with boring writing. I'm surprised I even got so far as I did, given how off putting the intro music is. It's like he goes to discount stores, picks a few cheap items, slaps them together and calls them a game. Then, for good measure, he advertises his game with something to the effect of "Like Heartstone! ^_^" and expects people to spend twenty bucks on it.
