It really has nothing to do with whether I have confidence in my game or not. HB is a short game. I just want to see if a demo is worth it. I don't think it's garbage and I believe it's going to do well for us, but I also know my opinion is tremendously skewed, so if it turns out it is garbage, then I want to be able to release something that addresses those problems and put out something that we know is good.

We have lots of faith in Highway Blossoms, but you're correct--our name doesn't mean anything. It's our first release outside of the HRP demo, which is why I'm being cautious. Perhaps overly so.

The GDC demo is two scenes from the middle of the game. So it's not too long. We could release that to the public or we could release the first few scenes of the game instead. Again, I don't want to mess this up, so I'm being careful with how we go about things.

Sorry if it comes off as arrogance or us being cowardly. That's not the intention.

I edited some assets so that they felt more suitable at night. I'm still not sure why I never thought to commission nighttime variations of the backgrounds but I'm making the most of it.

I think I've adjusted the sprite's colour so that it fits the background, without blending in too much, but I'm wondering if the filesize of the game is going to shoot up tons if I have night time variations of everyone alongside the normal images.
