The air-targets Minengeschoß belt is the one to have for the cannon, I usually just use omni rounds for the MG's. You are able to outrun all jap planes and most if not all German planes in level flight. Maintain some altitude so you are always in a position to floor it if your attempt to force headons fails, circle around and try again and eventually the enemy will get impatient and try to win the head on against your 14 heat projectors. Also jumping down from cloud cover to peg fighters then speeding away into the sunset is also fun.
