Strip away the high level shit intended for FOB. Even without that, the regular items require a fuck ton of soldier fultoning to develop, and that's boring as fuck.

My point was that it was excusable in a portable game intended to take advantage of the monster hunter craze, where kids love to grind the shit out of monotonous gameplay, but they just went and used the same boring game mechanic in a main franchise title.

It's b o r i n g, and while I won't just cheat my soldiers to all be S++ so I can develop the weapons I want (again, talking about the regular ones, not the ones Konami added to encourage whales to spend on MB coins), I will mod the game so that S++ soldiers show up on the battlefield to speed my MB's leveling a bit.

And then there's resource farming, a whole 'nother retarded mechanic to appeal to those fuckers who love grinding.

Just lost 6 matches in a row, I swear i'm either getting sniped by some ace who sees movement and then immediately flips over and kills me or i'm getting two or more infiltrators rushing my ass to ruin my day. Even had a case where in a Bounty Hunter match, 3 v 5, my team was barely managing to win but we were practically getting our HQ spawn swamped by the entire team at once. HERE COMES MEGA COCK INFILTRATOR, ran past all of us and immediately bags me while both of my teammates are slaughtered for a +15 bounty ticket back onto their score 30 seconds before the match end and netting the opposing team the win

When they make it so that one expansion is nearly 100k fuel and metal, you're going to be grinding one way or another.

Either you can go the long and stupid way of free roam or trying your luck with FOBs, which could take days to build up, only to all be stolen away before they're processed.

Or you can go through Skullface / The War Economy a dozen times or so inside an hour and literally be rolling in resources, and without the added risk of retaliation.

Lets say you just got done using your MB coins to get your 2nd FOB.

You fully expand that shit.

Now, unless you buy another FOB, there's a limit to how high you can go as far as your staff levels.

So shit that needs an R&D level 125 to research, it'll never happen, unless you either buy another FOB, or somehow fill your entire roster with S++ soldiers somehow.

So, until you get that 3rd FOB, there's a clear ceiling for what you can do for progress.
