For those of you that have played Suikoden, is it okay if your generic army units are defeated in battle? Playing through 2 right now, and I have two of those units constantly diving head first to their deaths in the Solon Jhee battle, so I have to keep resetting. I was told to never let ANYONE die in these fights, but I'm not sure if by 'ANYONE' they meant just the unique characters or literally anyone, including the nameless units.

Game is great by the way, thanks to the anon who told me top cop it from the store when it was on sale.

There's less than 10 enemy variation, dungeons looks all the same, unable to save in dungeon even when you need hours to go by it with fears of it went error, items, maps and speed run bugs. Also don't forget disfigured character model bug.

As for the TSF Boxes, they'll be delivered straight to the US after Kotobukiya produces them. The Muv-Luv Japanese development team will be assigned hundreds of clear labels per person so they can sign these by hand and you can choose whether to stick it on your TSF Box or elsewhere.

There's a lot of little gripes that are hard to explain, especially if you don't ask about something specific. But that's a sign that a game is overall very decent.

My biggest warning would be to not buy it if you're averse to stress and want to play something relaxing. There's a fine line between "difficult" and "annoying," and it's either in one or the other the entire way. So avoid it if you've never played DRPGs, at least buy DG or emulate EO or something.

Also don't expect too much from the story. I might anger DRPG fans but the genre doesn't do it justice, and it's really more of a background fixture to the gameplay's center stage.

Exclusivity is overrated. It's something that only benefits hardware manufacturers. Gamers should want games to be on as many platforms as possible, so as to avoid vendor lock-in. Honestly, we're in a fucking gamers' paradise right now compared to any other point since the mid-'80s (and I'm old enough to remember).

Besides, it's not like Vita, as a handheld, is in direct competition with PC anyway. Consoles may compete with PC to some degree, but handhelds' only direct competition is from other handhelds and to a lesser extent mobile devices. We're not losing titles to 3DS. When Nep gets ported to iOS/Android, that's when we should worry. Until then, relax and take it easy.

Again, Vita has nothing to fear from PC. People who wait months or years for a game to release on PC weren't going to buy a Vita anyway. Vita vs. PS3/4 is a little more complicated because there's not the time lag, but it's still essentially true. When people choose a console or PC release over the Vita version it's because they don't really care that much about the Vita specifically as a handheld. That's a lifestyle thing, and it's a mistake to try to overcome it by relying on exclusives.

Holy fuck that very last boss fight was disgusting RNG bullshit in CS. What is the point of introducing a different battle system at that last leg of the game that makes 98% of your past battle experience in the game irrelevant? Doing that shit on Nightmare was annoying since you literally had to pray to RNG gods that you land all 2-3 counters [which costs way too much for a 50% success rate] while avoiding receiving a crit. Makes no sense that everything prior to that fight was a cakewalk as long as you have the right build/strategy, but Falcom decided to end it in a shitty gimmick fight? Doesn't help that your limited to two 50% heals. I beat it because I was stubborn and eventually got lucky not because of skill.

Hope that shit is gone in CS II
