YGOPro is an automated simulator.
Salvation is an simulator that updates with new cards a day or so after they are revealed (other simulators typically take much longer to update), but suffers from several bugs.
Devpro is another simulator, with laggy and unstable servers that lack a competitive ladder.
All are free to play.

There's 5 locals on my city.
For 3 years I have played tournaments on all of them, on some more than others but I have been constantly in all of them,
In those 3 years, no matter the game (yugioh, pokemon, magic, ws, cfv, kaijudo, etc) I have never seen someone pull out a non-official playmat of any game.

Well just from quick calcs I think cloudians can get the highest non-loop that CAN be a loop but just kept it to a minimum of 3 uses of exodious to extend the amount of turns in a duel where Nimbusman can reach 6,550,500.
Cyber Dragons can reach 864,000 and Deskbots around 640,000.
But all are completely unrealistic but require no loop and could probably go higher because I'm sure I've missed something.

Silver's cry still has use as being chained to Vanity so that's fair but Light Guidance is just too situational and only good for late game when you've lost most of your dragons and dies to Twin Twister.

Speaking of how good Solemn Strike and Twin Twister are, how long has it been since we had new maindeck s/t staples? Since Warning/Duality, right? I still am surprised they managed to make a card that is in my opinion practically equal to MST. In my opinion even stuff like Galaxy Cyclone never matched MST's overall usefulness imo, but Twin Twister managed to do it, even if it's only for certain metas. That's an upgrade from certain decks, and even in the metas where MST is probably better just like some decks would still main the Galaxy Cyclones, decks that care about the dicard will probably still play Twin Twisters.

Dunno why I'm running tornado at 2, my build's pretty similar to yours, just different techs. I don't bother with Gorz unless there's rank 7 synergy, and I'd never run royal decree in triples. Fusion recovery is great and should be run at at least 1. You can also run blazeman/woodsman to make absolute zero (since ROTA searches them or junk sync)

I think it's intentional that maindeck S/T staples don't get printed in modern sets since the early days of the game sort of revolved on those things. The primary focus of TCGs is the combatants, so they want the focus to be on the monsters. It's pretty evident when you compare it to other Japanese TCGs, where there's very few spell-equivalent cards, particularly Vanguard where monsters are the only card type in the game

Trap of Darkness, Tri-and-Guess and the other obscure normal rare/commons the deck runs also hurts a little since people can demand silly prices for them because they know you won't find them elsewhere.
But yeah, I'll grant it. Although it's still annoying to have to pay loads for 2/3 copies of a card that can be beat by a single MST or any effect negation at all. Not to mention the fact that the decks feels sacky and doesn't really interact with the opponent, so no one wants to play against it.But it's so fucking worth it when you go +16 in one turn, without even trying.
