Its atmosphere came off like it was a good idea, but executed lazily. The sides came off like random demon thrown on randomly. I can believe that a group of angels are pseudo-chaos now, but the demons working with hikawa looked like they were chosen at random. And throwing the important angels on yosuga just seemed odd. Especially since yosuga called kagutsuchi an arrogant god, too. Which makes no sense unless the implication is that they are rogue angels. But then is metatron not rogue? Who does metatron side with? Does he care, as long as the world is remade?

Yeah, I won't deny what you said. Everything looked somewhat confusing for those that are more into the SMT. Personally, since it was my first SMT, it didn't look so bad. I'd bet it was due to the budget or something. It was their first time handling the PS2 after all.
Still, a lot of the core story/plot elements were extremely interesting. The execution was lacking though.
I'd bet a remake not a port of Nocturne would fix a lot of stuff that's wrong.
