when it comes to the C4 method the armor isn't the issue, proper application will usually blow through everything.

the weird thing with the armor skulls is they have some bullshit invuln periods. Like they still get hit and bleed but their HP won't deplete to 0 under certain circumstances. that and they have weird invincibility on certain frames before their teleport.
It's best to just do the 12 C4 stack and just lie down and take the loss when it doesn't work. we're looking for quantity of kills here, not quality.

I learned how to do it from this image (thanks again, anon!). For everyone who's still struggling:

1) plant C4 all along where the decoys are
2) stand where Snake stands (fig. 1)
3) when Ocelot says they're coming, attract the Skulls' attention with gunfire (fig. 2)
4) blow them to hell when they teleport onto the C4

This has a very high rate of success, and when it fails, it's usually because only one or two Skulls survived - you can still clean them up with your back weapon if you're careful.

I don't think it's fair criticism to say it's bad that unlike in the demo DD isn't gotten in Lufwa Valley.

Laughing Wallaby is a "unique" staff member with a locked set of traits. If you unlock her traits for modification, it changes her name to fit with what would be produced by her seed.
Same goes for similar staff like Pouncing Harrier, Silent Crocodile, Spying Harrier, etc.
Seeds define the name and the base stat distribution. Actual stat level (A+,S++, etc.) define how great the stats are, as well as two additional stat dispersion values which choose whether its an "Across the board" or "stacked in one slot" type of distribution.
Character portraits are their own value, but they affect name. Character sex (male or female) picks the name based on the seed. Male Mastiff = Female Kitten, for example.
Some seeds inherently produce better soldiers. For example, an S++ Combat Unit soldier produced from Pouncing Harrier's seed will be better across the board than an S++ Combat Unit soldier produced from Silent Crocodile's seed. There's nothing that can be done to fix this gap without adjusting the seed and fucking with every value including the name.

Each time you do the mission, there will be an event ranking screen after the general FOB infiltration/espionage ranking screen. The event rankings don't update often (I think it's only at maintenance?), so your actual position may rise or fall more than you expect over the course of the day.

You shouldn't wait to know where you stand, you should grind the mission obsessively RIGHT NOW.

You can't see it as you go down the stairs and no one ever looks back. I also put some mines right at the base of the stairs just out of sight as you go down then (right infront of the already default mine that's there)
