Progress update. I don't have too much to say yet other than mention that I'm probably going to take a day or two to recuperate because I've been neglecting other things due to working on this shit 16/7 for three weeks now, and I'm reaching the point where I'm burned out - not on the project, mind you, but just in general. I'm going to spend that free time fixing up this version of Box to be up to date layout-wise it's based on a year old revision at the moment, as well as tweaking the intent system that's currently implemented in preparation for Thunderdome. Unarmed combat is going to be the focus to begin with, since it's something every player innately has access to. As soon as you can be a hands-only greyshit to an acceptable degree, melee weapons are going to receive more attention.

It should be mentioned that the basic medical system has been somewhat successfully brought over (damage types, thresholds, synchronization), although they'll probably have to be rewritten at some point when I'm not fucked up due to holidays. Limbs are still on the to-do list but slowly approaching, tied in with the in-progress hitbox. Hopefully there won't need to be a limb selection menu by the time it's done (although it could be left in as a legacy feature for casuals, but probably only in co-op play).

Take everything for what it is (pre-release info) and keep up a healthy level of skepticism along with your hype, because hearing a chorus of "the Doom engine is shit and can't handle the autism of spess" only brings me more motivation to prove that statement wrong.
