Except for Kaer Morhen, which honestly seemed out of character, Roche's bro status is a bit overplayed by people I think. Most of his actions in TW2, almost all of them in fact, are entirely self motivated or for Temeria, not for Geralt.

Don't worry, you're not going to be left wanting when it comes to the size of the game. A regular playthrough can be up to 200 hours.

Skellige is a completely different region probably about 2/3 the size of Velen and you don't even go there until about halfway through the game. The Novigrad area is maybe 1/2 the size of Velen. Kaer Morhen is maybe 1/4 the size of Velen but is absolutely beautiful.

blood and wine contains a part where geralt helps a witcher from the griffin school who had his medallion taken and turns out to be almost a thousand years old.

Geralt also has the choice of rescuing a female alchemist from his past.

Griffin witcher explodes as soon as he gets his medallion and destroys half the city.

I'm gonna marry Ciri, spend honeymoon on long air-trip to tropical islands on her planet and have threesoms with Cerys!

You still have Kaer Morhen and Skellige, which are pretty large but also a lot less dense content-wise (unless you really like sailing around to random islands).

So I'm reading all the books as prep for playing the games, and I'm awfully confused about the origin worlds of humans and elves.

First I thought that humans were an invasive species that appeared without warning at the conjunction of the spheres, which happened a few hundred years ago. But then, elves start talking about how they had been watching mankind evolve for millions of years, so I thought that people and elves migrated over together during the conjunction. But then we see that the elves apparently had some sort of interdimensional timeshare system set up, and a unicorn shows Ciri a mountain of human skulls from when the King of the Alders first set up shop.

So what the fuck is going on? Did Auroch purge the humans "native" world, with all the humans in "our" world being refugees that migrated during the conjuntion? Where is the elves native world? Is it the one the humans invaded?

I started playing TW3 the other day and I'm enjoying it so far. More than the game itself, I really like playing Gwent.

I noticed just this morning that there is a difficulty setting for Gwent and I've been playing it on normal this whole time (though I've been playing the main game on the "blood and broken bones" difficulty)

Is it worth cranking up the Gwent difficulty? What does it do? Does it give my opponents better cards? Do I get better card rewards? My deck isn't perfect yet, so I'd rather not crank up the difficulty if it just means all of my opponents will have nothing but 10power cards that will stomp my shit in.
