Honestly a lot of what FCR does is good, it's just some things about it have a high chance of just breaking the game or are arbitrarily annoying and you can't pick and choose very much.

Just beat the part in HoS where you get possessed. So far the writing is absolutely genius, this is a 10/10 expansion.

I'm also playing tw3 from finally. It's bratty) bretty good so far, I find myself actually listening to the dialogue much more than fallout where I skip the awful narrative thrown in. The combat is kind of meh though, I'm sure it gets better with upgrades but I'm just throwing up a shield and flailing around until the enemy is dead right now.

Anyone else feels like there is one very big inconsistency in witchers universe: why would witchers stick to hunting monsters, if they would easily get any other job a mutated super humans?

I mean, why sleep on the roads and slay dangerous beasts for shitty money from peasants, while with your abilities you can be skilled assassin, or king's bodyguard, or soldier of special forces? All these jobs give much more possibilities, prestige and income, and yet it seems that no witcher ever thought of leaving his shitty profession behind (except for Cats from Season of Storms which is most likely uncannon, and Geralt in Letho in games, both of whom do it under the pressure in smaller or bigger degree).

But to be fair, we throughout the games we only met a very limited number of witchers, maybe in other parts they are more strongly involved with politics.
