You have 3 medics building Uber. 2 of the medics kill themselves infront of the spawn exit and switch to another class, preferably one they are good at. One of the medic remains alive and will continue being a medic, preferably a good medic. That medic will keep cycling between the dropped mediguns to prevent them from despawning.

The gate opens, another teammate using explosives will launch the dropped mediguns out of spawn and into the fray. The medic will use his uber as he normally would during the 1st rush, and when it is done, he will go to one of the launched mediguns and use its uber. Repeat until out of mediguns.

Please Read At Least Once: "Need a Christmas gift"

As a team fortress 2 player, i really like the game. I wanna play it as much as i can but limited by studies(i cant play while am in college hostel, no pc allowed , but whenever i come home in holidays i always play).

However whenever i want to play it , a big problem is of high ping and no server. Am from India , there are hardly any 24/7 servers for us. Not only that most either don't work , few lack good admins , rest lack players. I knew a lot of my friends who wanted to play this game but left one by one because of the lack of good gameplay. We have to play in servers from 250 -350 ping, with the lowest from Singapore servers. I don't know whether i should quit playing or what cause i love classes like scout, soldier, medic etc which require low ping to be effective.

So I have come to the 4chan community. If any of you can create a server for India it will be really helpful. I don't know how all this works but it is what i think will be a very good Christmas for all Indians... And for all Indian tf2 players post comments below so that we can show that we really want a server on which we all can play together

Soldier gets the Direct Hit too, Scout gets Bonk which isn't a real counter but helps if you have a semi-competent teammate, Medic has the ubercharge. There are more counters to a sentry than you'd think. The only classes I can think of that'd have a hard time with a sentry are Pyro (a close range class against something that has double his health and damage output), Engineer (although if you want to go full retard you could wrangle your sentry against theirs from range if positioning allows it) and Sniper (who can snipe the engy and then plink the gun to death if it isn't tucked away in a corner where it's vulnerable to splash damage from Demo/Soldier)

The issue you guys are conveniently overlooking is that the teamwork required to counter the stacked sentries is much more than what is required to do the sentries in the first place.

Yeah, only in disorganized pubs (and that's how pubs will always be, face it) are sentries so powerful, but if sentries really deserve to be that powerful then it should require some effort and ability from the players doing it, shouldn't it?
Heavy/medic is really boring in pubs for similar reasons.

You can WM1 with the degreaser but it's a lot less effective.

The switch TO the degreaser is just as fast, so you can still reflexively airblast really quickly. Arguably bad game design, since you can see a pyro with a secondary or melee out, with no cue that he has the degreaser equipped, fire a projectile at him, and he can reflect it without you knowing that could have happened. It's not so bad though.

What got nerfed is switch speed FROM the degreaser. So now right clicking someone doesn't give you a free follow up shot with your secondary. Some aim is required.


As for engi nerfs, my opinion is that the sapper stun was completely unnecessary, but not terrible, and that the jag/rescue ranger nerfs were 100% justified, especially the jag

You shouldnt' worry about making teh classes equally strong when balancing. This isn't a 1v1 fighting game, it's a team game. If spies were equally as effective and powerful as medics that would be pretty stupid

It's more effective with the degreaser, because you airblast. If you charge at people with the phlog brainlessly you just get mulched before you can reach people. You have to get the jump on people. Yes, the MMMPH is a safety net, but so much as 25 ammo (formerly 20 ammo) airblasts.

Each flamethrower should have a unique gas canister for Pyro's back.

If you run at a person from a mile away with the phlog you're gonna get killed. Same with literally every flamethrower. You're usually going to be in very close situations and so with the phlog you just walk forward (and now you even get to be invincible, in case people actually decide to focus you while you get free health and crits).

I haven't played pyro heavily for a while and I've come across a lot, the only time I get annoyed by people airblasting is when they use the reserve shooter.

What bugs me is that the fire rate and spread cone is so variable. You gotta test how it is at like 4 or 5 health variations (50hp, 100hp, 150hp, 200hp this is what I did to check it with soldier) in order to estimate how the fire rate and spread cone are gonna be and even then the spread is random, as always, so it's not very reliable unless you have it loaded and pump it all down on an unaware revving heavy at point blank range, aiming a bit down so he isn't sent flying

The engineer is already a powerful 'active' class with the shotgun when you use the sentry for cover, it's just that so many people only see the engineer for his buildings that they refuse to believe active playstyles are 'useful'.

That's a good point about the escape plan, but wrench choice is so much more defining of how you can and will play than soldier melee weapon choice.

It's a tough issue. You're right, it's fine to have obvious best choices, but if you ask me those best choices should never require you to unlock or find them. Perhaps they could make the escaple plan a base soldier stat (like when they buffed base engi building speed when they buffed the jag in gun mettle), and then unlocks like the market gardener and equalizer would sacrifice that base trait for their gimmicks. Not ideal, but it's better than having the best weapon be an unlock.

Also the RR makes turtling stronger, be realistic.

Without airblast you can't just run at people and kill them if these targets are being piloted by decent players. You have to get the jump on people. Degreaser is capable of the exact same thing, but also has airblast. So you can get away with more direct confrontations.

The one I played on had it so that you started with a health boost.

Then the admin thought it needed to be "nerfed" so they removed that, but made it so that heads didn't cap out.

You can get like 10 heads speed but infinite heads health. I got to 10k+ health once.
