Anyone know any reason why a game would load up then freeze on a black screen? It installed correctly, and I know it works on my other 3ds!

Its not a high firmware game or anything, but on my N3DS it just loads the black and red then goes to black and I have to reset.

Most games I install, the icon pops up after unwrapping my present and the title is in whatever language the cia is (usually english)

probably not. they say you can get banned even just downloading game updates, so it's probably not safe to log in to psn deliberately and download gigabytes of data. try getting them from here:

yes. you can delay your banning by a couple months by using psnpatch, but i don't think i've ever heard of someone using psn on a cfw ps3 for a year or more without getting banned. you can spoof your console id to unban yourself if you're willing to buy them semi-frequently, since they have to be taken from another unbanned ps3. i'd advise buying a cid if you want to play online, then it's not a big deal if you get banned and you can still use your original cid to go online if you ever decide to put it back on ofw for whatever reason.

Its DSTWO functions work fine.. but I've had terrible luck with the Gateway half. It doesn't work literally over 90% of the time. Chances are I got a defect, but I'm just warning you. Hello /hbg/, I've been using USB Loader GX for a while and have never had any issues loading any Wii games, I was even able to use it earlier today. But for some reason this evening, any time I try to load up a game it just goes to a black screen and I have to physically turn off the system to be able to do anything, the Wiimote won't even connect. I'm a bit baffled by this, anyone have any clue what might be going on?

There's no reason to do this. Once you boot Ironhax and reach the homebrew menu you are no longer relying on ironhax at all. There's no reason to avoid using the same save slot. You can even just replace the files over ftp from the homebrew launcher and then back out and run the ironhax installer again

the thing is that I buyed a 9.2 a few days ago, installed shit on in played stuff, etc, but I got back my 10.3 XL with ALL my stuff on it, digital downloads, dlcs, etc.

The update pack included is actually 9.2, excluding a single file that installs a system title called "newslist". It's non-essential and doesn't actually do anything, but for some reason trying to include it causes the update to fail. Removing the file causes the update to read as 9.1 instead of 9.2. Don't know why, but 9.1 contains themes and *hax capability and whatever else people might want anyway, so nothing of value is really lost.

The way I understand it, the exploit works by forcing an overflow with special save data that has an overly long name. And it seems 10.3 didn't patch OoTHax. So as long as the special save data for OoT3D is intact I should be fine, right? I know it's possible to use OoThax if you have a cartridge/powersaves but I have neither.

Yea but my private tracker is shit too.

It's nearly impossible to upload anything without using a seedbox but it still requires a ratio.

I only use it when I can't find the stuff anywhere else so very rarely.

was trying to move from a 16GB sd card to a 64GB sd card but the 3DS failed to boot ctrbootmanager and then said something about not being able to read what was on the sd card

I dd'd the 16GB sdcard to a .bin file and then dd'd the .bin file to the 64GB sd card and then expanded the partition to take up the rest of the empty space after it

I made sure to leave the 1GB preceding space alone since I think that's the emunand

what could have gone wrong?

I didn't format the new sd card first (so it was exfat instead of fat32) but that shouldn't matter since it's being overwritten with dd anyway

forgot to say - all the files showed up fine on my computer after copying the .bin to the new sdcard

I'm not using that method. You probably should've just read the post.

I made a byte for bye copy with dd (this includes the emunand of course) and then expanded the partition so it wasn't 16GB anymore.
