One sharp turn is all you're gonna get with the current IL-2, that's for sure. No guarantee you'll still be pointed in the air afterwards too.

However, being able to kill retarded pilots is a pretty far fetch from the dude calling the IL-2 an overpowered dogfighter. I think he just wanted to say something russian to appear like he knew what he was talking about and the IL-2 was the first one that came to mind.

Your getting "lucky" because the game is rigged.

Shells have a slight trajectory correction to make them hit an impenetrable surface, if possible, so at long range, where it only needs to make slight adjustments, you'll repeatedly hit in ways that can't penetrate, but at short range where it would have to massively bend the shell, it can't do it.

The more bullshit spots the tanks has, the better. Tiger 1 is a particularly bad offender due to tiny meme strips of incredibly angled, thick armour on the turret.

It's always been the Commonwealth tree.
Beaufort, Boomerang, Wirraway and Beaufighter Mk. 21 count as Australian aircraft in the game rather than British. There's also quite a few RCAF skins for plons. Fury has a SAAF skin.
Not sure there anything from New Zealand in the UK tree.

But we'll have to wait and see if any Canadian tanks make it in. Grizzly could make a decent tier 2-3 premium depending on the gun. Ram should probably be tier 1.

Nah, they were pretty shit. The ones designed to fuck your shit up or storm your ass would catch fire if you stared at them long enough. The ones that were designed to take all the hits and protect the infantry moving behind them couldn't penetrate a wet paper bag. It's mostly because the designers were rushed to create new vehicles that could match the german ones, so they didn't have time to work out all the flaws and make a balanced all-purpose tank like the germans did.

It was more stuff like difficulty reloading due to the cramped space, standing on the ammo, the breech being inaccessible unless the gun is at the correct elevation; the crew being unable to hear each other, let alone communicate with other tanks or infantry; the driver being unable to change gear at high speed, etc.

Are rockets worth bothering with? Because history isn't my strong suit, but I'm pretty sure the vast majority of planes in the game are too old to have guided rockets. Can you actually hit anything with them? Because I rather enjoy going up high and hunting bombers and I guess they'd be fairly effective against those things.
