I have a question about stats and diminishing returns. At +10, Chikage scales S off of Bloodtinge and B off of Skill. Suppose the Softcap of 25 has been reached on bloodtinge but the amount in skill is still set at the minimum. Would I get more damage from putting another point into Bloodtinge with the diminishing returns at an S rank scaling or putting a point into Skill at a B scaling that isn't affected by diminishing returns?

Guys try this:
Whenever you die make 20 push ups 20 sit-ups and 20 spinals as a punishment. You get some training and it makes some adrenaline flow and you do better on your next run.

Of course you could do like 30 or 10 each depending on on your fitness and on how much you die. Have gone through dlc with this method and every boss has been in less than 5 deaths

Hey guys question on my build. So I was planning on going 50/25 strength arcane. But I'm really enjoying using the holy moonlight blade. I also want to use beast claws and wheel and I know they're primarily strength. How much more damage would going 40/23/25 strength, skill, arcane give me for holy blade. In comparison to just grabbing the 50/25 and being able to use the wheel and claws. Should I just go for the 50/25 so I can basically use all the strength weapons? I know it's not a super optimal 98 build but I just wanna have a finished build that isn't skill

Depends, the Arc adds a lot to the MLGSs R2s and L2s but the rest of it's moveset is qual based. You would need to be around 40 arcane for the arc stuff to be noticable though

What does everyone think of Hunter's Nightmare?

Research Hall and Hamlet were honestly fucking great areas, but I never see anyone say anything about the Nightmare. In terms of layout it's fairly simple and basically goes in a big oval, but I was surprised with how much I enjoyed the content of the area. All of the infighting, those monstrous Executioners, the river of Blood, the machine gun traps, the dead Amygdala, and I really like how it played on your expectations based on real Yharnam. That Dark house with the wheelchair guy scare gets flipped with him already dead and activating a molotov near the oil pots when we grab the item. Thought it was neat. Also Ludwig is a GOAT boss. Was thinking the area would turn out like Royal Wood but it's much, MUCH better than that.

Not sure if you're still around, but Chikage only uses either blood OR skill depending on which mode you're using. You get more damage out of it by going full 50 BLT and only using the tricked version. Getting skill to 25 as well is a good idea though for the options it opens up.

I think it does a good job of setting up that you're not in a real place, better than the frontier or mensis, it's less structured since it seems like it's a giant shared Nightmare formed by many people, walking up to the cathedral, turning a corner and then the cathedral being off in the distance was a little jarring when you first see it, then you never quite get to it and suddenly you're in the clock tower of the cathedral

It was really cool but I desperately wanted more. The river of blood segment is awesome, I love all the crooked buildings and alleys, and I loved that creepy fucking cave. But the first segment, the cathedral ward segment is so small. I wish it had some side alleys or paths, if only for more excuses to have beasts vs hunters vs gigantic guards. Aesthetically its amazing, in terms of the DLC its definitely my least favorite, but that doesn't make it bad.

It does contain the two best boss songs in the game, so that's something it has going for it

Honestly in terms of sheer content, I think this is the best individual DLC pack (although taken as a whole, I think I prefer the level design of the TLC Dark Souls 2 pack). The amount of weapons (many available really early, fixing the issue of lack of early game weapons), the new covenants, the bosses and variety of levels really makes it fucking amazing.
