Humans are determination and determination means save and load. All six kids before likely kept telling him they've killed them before, like you do if you *Talk after dying. By the time Frisk comes along he's probably used to it and well aware that there's something wrong with the humans that fall down. Probably why he asks Alphys to investigate determination.
