Primaries are easily done, especially the NS-15M variants. Secondaries are doable but require a change of playstyle. Knives are shitty but still possible. Candy cannons and other joke weapons however are almost impossible to get 1160 kills with.

If I got 5 exceptional NS-15Ms, I'd grind it. It would probably take less than 100 hours. But I'm definitely not going to spend hundreds of hours with shit weapons.

Engineer is THE class if you want challenging gameplay in PS2. We talk big, walk big, and carry a huge bag of tricks. Some people can't handle the low health. That's cool. Some people need that kind of "press F to win, you tried your best so you're all winners" kind of gameplay. You're not going to find that on Engineer. This is the adult class. No trophies for second place here.

I've played on all the PS2 classes. There are some very good players on the others. But nothing like what we have here. I see players on the other classes who do things that simply would not be possible on Engineer, because if they tried that here they would be destroyed again and again. Engineer players are simply top notch. Whether VS, TR or NC, no other class has the same level of talent.

Go ahead, flame me. But if you ever want to improve your score, come play on Engineer for a while, then go back to your old class. Going and playing as Heavy AssSalt or Memefiltrator for me is like playing against bots.

I downloaded recursion meme tracker recently and I've gotten dozens of "repeat customer" and "you'd think they'd learn" yet no bounty. Granted all of my kills are infantry vs infantry, but still, you'd think people would get mad at being farmed.

It needs a good driver more than anything. Gunner is just point/click. Driver actually needs to maneuver so sustained fire can go downrange, without over-exposing self. Halberd is where gunner skill matters.

24 round magazine is not a lot, but it's not anywhere near as ridiculous a capacity as the LPPA's, and the 0.1m to 1m inner radius basically makes it an even weaker LPPA by 50 damage, and it still has its shitty COF, but at least the splash damage can be stacked up over time.

I figure this might put it just beneath the marauder in effectiveness, assuming level terrain or a height advantage.

I have tried it. 95% of the time you'll get locked, dumbfired out of existence. 5% of the time (literally happened once) you can spawncamp a sunderer and have fun.
Don't waste the certs. It can happen that feel like a chopper from BF2, but not in HeavySide2.

He's not, that's the weird thing. He seems like a good player, besides for the fact that he sometimes is really laggy and there's about 50% chance he'll complain in /yell about whatever weapon just killed him, but his stats are plain garbage compared to the KDR he gets.
I'm starting to think he's hacking with his aimbot set to headshot 20% of the time, and then magdumps into the sky to bring his accuracy down to a non-suspicious level.

I dunno if he's hacking. I thought he was just an experienced LA. LA is the best class for K/D if you know the best farming spots in each base. With his playtime, I assume he knows quite a lot. I've also never seen him warp. He used to kill me a lot but after playing more and more, I'm now able to keep a 1:1 score against him.

Even if you get lots of kills, it's hard to maintain high acc+hsr as LA since you're always engaging enemies from all sorts of angles and distances. It's the element of surprise that matters.

I've upgraded my card since it started happening actually and it's still here.

I've checked my drivers and everything. Sitting on a mana turret covering a door a while ago and someone threw a smoke, this is all I could see.
Hopping off the mana and getting out my NV scope equipped cyclone shows me the same blackness, can't see friendlies or enemies through it.

I deleted the userwhatever.ini file and started the game, set everything back to the EXACT same settings I was using previously and it looks like a completely different game. It seems like basically I wasn't seeing any graphical effects on anything, that's why my smoke was a solid block.

It must have been gradual because I remember the game looking like this but it's not looked this way for a LONG time in my case, holy shit.

Why do VS bitch about the PPA being over-nerfed?

I'm messing about with one now after maining TR forever. This thing is fine. You can easily dispatch at close range, and long range kills are easy too, assuming you tap fire.

Trades some close ability for much easier use at range.

Saron vs gatekeeper too. It's the reverse. Saron's ability to mag-dump gives it so much much than the gatekeeper up close, while the gatekeeper stays better over range. I'll admit gatekeeper is maybe a little too good, but Saron is infinitely better up close.
