It doesn't push load FROM the CPU, it just puts a fuckload MORE load onto the GPU. Increasing render quality past 1 enables supersampling (rendering at a higher resolution and then downscaling the image, AKA how anti-aliasing normally works). RenderQuality=1.41 will render the game at twice the chosen resolution (1.4142... being the square root of 2); =1.73 will be thrice the chosen resolution (sqrt of 3), and so on. Putting RQ at 2 will be an absolutely massive framerate hit, rendering the game at four times the display resolution, and even if you somehow manage to get a playable framerate you'll have stuttering and hang-ups out the wazoo and there will be little if any visible difference compared to a lower render quality (1.41 gives a noticeable increase in sharpness and reduction in FXAA blur over 1, and as the number goes up, the increase goes down- diminishing returns).

Hm, I played a bit of TR early on.

Did they change the recoil of the T9-CARV? Somehow it's just so much stronger than I remember it being. I have issues controlling it at range.

I've played NC and VS, VS mainly.

It's just the T9-CARV though, the other guns are really good.

What scope is recommended? I'm using the 1x, so I'd think I was as good on recoil as I could be.

20 metres range is all right as well, the MCG's effective range isn't much bigger and neither is the Jackhammer. But let's be generous and increase the Lasher range to 40 metres.
