So, this engine, after a decade and 5 open world games, still looks graphically outdated, has inconsistent fps, clunky movement, clipping, melee, gunplay, well everything and has no problem to ctd out of the blue. Decided to stop playing Fallout 4 until there are more extensive mods. Really not enjoying it at the moment.

Decided I'd go back to New Vegas, but it feels weird trying to play that games combat system after Fallout 4's much superior system.

Are there any mods that smooth out New Vegas' weird mouse mechanics and make the gunplay a little more bearable. It feels worse than I remember.

Is it possible to get a legendary Gattling Laser outside of Maxson's? as far as I know, only BoS Paladins even have the chance of carrying them, been taking Danse with me and shooting down Vertibirds and checkpoints left and right, but so far, nothing.

I did somehow wind up with an exploding Flamer, which puzzles me to no end.

It IS relatively easy to clean contaminated water, provided it's nuclear particles in the water that can be filtered out, and not activated H20 as a result of intense exposure, like what you get out of nuclear reactors. Your mileage will vary.

Stagnant water would actually be your best bet of finding clean-ish water, as no water movement means there's no new sources of radioactive material. OR if it's already highly contaminated then there's no fresh water to carry that contamination away, leading to the insanely hot swamps you can find.

Rivers are just as dangerous but less of a gamble depending on their source. If where they're coming from isn't too badly contaminated then it's not going to be bringing much with it. Industrial-scale filtration IS possible, especially if you relax your standards that there's going to be a high background radiation level, and you're not breathing the air through heavy filters, meaning you're pretty badly exposed already.

Plenty of reasons why somebody would end up having and accident and splitting their face open. I gave my Nate a couple of old scars on his brow and lip, as well as a chemical burn on his cheek (which he tries to hide with facial hair) that were the result of a Vertibird crash. Headcanon didn't go any deeper than that, could have been during a training exercise, combat isn't the only way veterans end up injured.

In Chernobyl's case, yes, but nuclear BOMBS are another tier of dangerous as they are quite capable of creating air columns reaching into the upper atmosphere, and the Fallout universe bombs are clearly VERY dirty. The same principle as Chernobyl applies but on a much, much greater scale; there's going to be nuclear material floating around up there, collecting in rain water and settling over vast areas of landscape.

What's more, you don't actually find a lot of purified water at Raider camps, what you do find is lots of bottled alcohol. Funnily enough they'd be one of the few foodstuffs what would be uncontaminated (barring some radioactive dust on the outside of the bottle), and still good after 200 years.
