5mm isnt a real round far as i know, they came up with it in 3 and stuck with it instead of making the minigun 7.62x51 nato (.308) like actual us military miniguns (they had to come up with a seperate ammo type thats found in larger amounts for the minigun, so that guns realistically using the same ammo wouldnt have an extreme amount of ammo stock)

a 5mm minigun would be almost useless as an actual weapon unless it was some high tech sabot AP shit that wasnt a total trash round IRL like anything between 4.6mm and 5.56mm.

yeah, it was either they make a shitty light round found in huge amounts for the minigun or they make the minigun in a serious machine gun round. either the minigun does 10-gorillion DPS (realistic) and 100 dmg per bullet or the sniper rifles do 100 damage per shot with some sly todd-ism, most likely lack thereof, explaining why the same round out of a (longer?) barreled minigun does 12 damage.

During the main quest, if Piper loves you enough she will basically murder people for you. She helped me kill everyone at Bunker hill...she disliked it, but she still did it anyway.

I then asked her shortly after if everything was okay between us, and she said "I'm out doing things with the man I love, I couldn't possibly wish to do anything else"

And there's plenty of things she could have written about on you, like taking the Synth mayors report on Piper to the Institute. Kinda bugged me you couldn't just hand that over to Piper and raise hell.

Why do they make shells disappear so fucking quickly?

If you have a mod that changes that looks really cool looking over a battlefield and seeing all the brass on the ground.

You need over 1,000 shells on screen before performance even starts to take a hit.

They have the sound effects and physics and everything to work really well if they stick around longer than 5 seconds, they even react to stuff like explosions and landing in a pile of shells while wearing power armor makes them all scatter away from you.
