After like a month and a half, I finally got to the point where I have planes over 999 cost. I shouldn't have any problem meeting the restrictions though given the hordes of shitplanes that I decided to level up before I learned how this game works.

I'm more interested in the restriction for challenge room purposes though. It lowers the chance of an asshole joining and ruining it for everyone else who is actually trying to finish challenges. I'm also hoping that it will even the playing field with high MRs when I can't find people in my own MR range (which happens every single day no matter the hour that I play).

It's very similar to the F-35 in that it's a late-tier multirole with lots of slots, but it's way too slow. Parts and levels can help it but it will never be able to beat an eagle. However, unlike the F-35 it has two really great SPW (LASM and 6AAM) and with higher levels and parts it certainly won't be left in the dust.

Also I'm not about to encourage anyone to spend money on this twisted game but if you were ever to buy anything, I'd recommend getting some more slots. The first 4 might actually be free but it's been like 18 months and I might be remembering wrong.

LAGM will be superior in most cases because it's a missile you can fire from long range and not a bomb you have to be in a certain position to drop.

That said if you need to prioritize damage over ease of use GDP is better. The only times I'm aware of where that's really necessary is NTDM and ESS.

it was the first AC game I ever played and holds a special place in my heart in spite of the fact that it doesn't have much to show in the story department

The F-22 has gone intro production since the first AC. The first few games actually used the YF-22, but dropped the "Y" from the name. I believe AC4 was the first to feature the production version of the F-22.

The T-50 is an obvious one, and the Su-35 in ACAH/ACI is a different/more recent Su-35 than the one featured in the earlier games.

The ATD-X (ATD-0) is currently under development.

China has produced a few fighters as well.
