I'm talking about PvP. Just about the only points I'd lose in taking this is that I don't get the Glacial defense shit, and I'm not complete garbage so I can reliably bait out escapes resulting in constant grapples. It just gives me another option over CC chain into anicancel spam. I prefer the playstyle, but taking the grapple perk doesn't hurt my playstyle, anyway, because I don't rely on the glacial stuff.

Grapple healing gives you a means of reliably fighting LBMs that want to play lame, since I can land 2 - 3 grapples on them per fight, which is at-least 45% of my health back, or 30% + anti-defense skills.

On every screenshot i see the texture look glossy and low res, is this how the game is at max setting ?

Majority of KFM builds take the points in Glacial Defense. I just happen to be reallocating those points to another spot on the exact same tree, which costs the same.

I've been using the standard build which involves shroud until now, but the healing on sky grapple only just came to my attention, but I didn't have the means to test it.

I've played warlock, KFM, Des, and BM to 45 and I got my ass to 22 in over the last beta weekend even though I didn't have much time. The only time I've ever used potions and food was on the assassin. They really can't take a hit and the other classes have skills that heal them a crap ton. Des you just grab and heal, the other ones you block and dodge a couple of attacks and you're back up, assuming you speced for healing on block and dodge. Also they need to just give a heal on crit gem. Most important gem in the game and new players don't know about it.

My defense spec summoned steals aggro, and still don't lose much health, before I knew it in JP, I was nearing 600 tots in my storage. Fortune Elixers were so much better, I never paid the lesser one any mind.

Then I learned summoners are pretty much immune to death due to all the resurrection skills we get. You just throw your dead body at the bosses over and over until your weapon breaks.

They need to do two things. Remind people to upgrade their pizzas, every one should at least buy the token pizzas when they're available, and do a gem making tutorial (go to inventory/click on the icon/make squares then pentagons etc) and how then tell them that the heal on crit gem is important to every class.

Here's the thing. For Blade and Soul veteran players or people who already played lot of MMOs, sure the potions/dumplings isn't an issue. (I ended 45 with like 90 of each...)

Likewise for people who just rush through leveling. Who cares right? In <2 days you get to 45 and you'll have more than enough consumable. Worse comes to worse, you'll have the currency to acquire these anyway.

Now, the average guy who never played an MMO before or only played games where consumable are easily obtainable, this can be problematic. It can be shocking to a new player than ONE dumpling basically cost (almost) ALL your currency up until level ~15 and a sizable amount of your total currency up to level 30. You typically obtain your first gold in the game at level 32~38 (depending on how you manage your money).

Spending 6% of your total currency just for one basic restorative item can be seen as problematic by these players. They just don't want to look further than "NPC is selling me something for 6 silver" + "I have 50 silver on hands" = "OMG TOO EXPENSIVE"

I know that the game throw these at you. But you feel it this way because you progress fast and efficiently. Some people are slow to level up and will spend hours doing "non efficient" things such as trying to get full Bagua sets in low level dungeons instead of keeping leveling up. They will waste restorative items in the process and have a negative balance the more they keep running dungeons (especially if they do so with beginners and/or bad players).

What we need to do is communicate to new players better that the price are what they are because they are flat. Low level players aren't supposed to spend 6 silver on a potion. I personally still find it weird that NPCs in low level areas are selling items which aren't supposed to be purchased by low level players. You'd expect some kind of level 1-20 only potions sold for few coppers instead.

Besides the fact that it makes PvP an utter chore whenever you fight against them (clerics in Aion were CANCER), the entire game would have to be rebalanced on the assumption that you have a healer in the party. It's either that or their healing is so ineffectual that you don't even give a shit, in which case they're better off specced for more damage anyway.

TW is probably a good indicator. If we don't launch with Poh, expect it a week or two after launch. BSH and Mushin Tower a month after launch. Few weeks after, Spiral Labyrinth and Mushin Tower floor 8. Then about a month and some change before Silverfrost Mountain (which comes with Warlock).

This is an extremely brisk pace, mind you, and TW players were having a difficult time keeping up with this release schedule. This is especially true if you decide to play more than one class (and why not?).

Who's going to overbid or underbid on items in dungeons? Not B&S Veterans who already know what's rare and what isn't. Who's going to sell you cheap materials at AH etc.

Making a game more accessible at lower levels isn't a bad thing. We want to retain players. It's good for us because... well we make more money. But it's also good for you because you can take advantage of them if you are smart. It makes the game more lively too overall. If everyone was just super hardcore and only playing efficiently, servers would be a bit sad.

What was the reason for the custom built patch that primarily removes good things that other regions have? JP, for example, had you receive everything on the daily roll wheel that you went past, not just the one shitty antidote you landed on.

Additionally, lower level quests lost things like the specialized keys. Sure, later on you get the Moonwater Key from a quest, but the first key you can get was completely removed, forcing people to go through hours of grinding BN for their breakthrough weapon, only to receive the Warlock weapon six times over. On another note, thanks for leaving in the Warlock weapon without Warlocks.

Lots of factors. But basically when it comes to the Daily Dash, it simply made the progression a breeze (not to say a complete joke). It's just way too rewarding, especially for the launch of the game.

When you compare it with TW, you are comparing to TW right now or on day 1? Also KR on day 1 didn't have any of that and had it way more rough. So people shouldn't complain really. The 1>45 experience isn't that long right now. No real reason to make it even faster, same thing applies for keys.

As for Warlock drops, the difference between 1/7 and 1/8 is marginal. You're not getting 6 times WL weapons because WL weapons are in but because you are unlucky. It's called probability.

Yes 1/8 is worse than 1/7, but on paper it only means that you are farming 14.4% longer because of that. Multiply that by the average amount of time you spend trying to acquire Purple breakthrough weapons and you'll see how marginal the impact is. Complains we are getting from players are completely irrational on this, which is rather common when it comes to RNG and MMO since players are unable to understand the basics of probability...

Because, if that was the case, just as you could remove the line that locates where the class information is, you could also remove the line that locates where the individual Warlock weapons are. It would take an equal amount of time. The usage of an entire class is going to be a lot more prevalent than the usage of Warlock weapons. That's not including any code related to the class when it comes to arena, class-specific quests (ie. Hongmoons), or anything related.

An entire five levels of content, but the endgame quests still tell you to go to the maps which were released with these level of content. It's still incredibly unprofessional.

To put things simply, in MMOs many things are chained together. When you want to restrict players to access something, you don't remove all of it but you only break the chain so it prevents players from accessing the rest of it.

For Warlock, we just need to disable it at character creation, that's it. It's just a flag that can be turned on and off. When it comes to the "5 levels worth of content", if you prevent players from completing the quest leading to Act IV, you're already there. For the maximum level it's just a value to change.

Locking away content is extremely easy. The content is still out there, but you aren't able to access it. It's not as if we physically removed all that content and all related dependencies from the game (that's why you can still see get some Naryu Silver in Beta for example, even if you cannot do anything with those yet.) We're not crafting a new build from scratch but just adding blockers here and there. By just removing couple NPCs and couple quests we can restrict you from accessing a whole continent and lot of instances.

It's a lot way easier and faster to QA than modifying all loot tables and testing them. It's also a way safer and flexible approach. That way, if we decide to release content ahead of time (for whatever reason), implementation can be quick. That enables us to be extremely reactive.

Giving new players more dumplings and potions won't do anything to ruin the game. The leveling is easy and fast enough already. They won't magically suddenly get good at max level and roll through endgame content for free stuff.

I can kinda see why they need them. I played BnS shitfaced drunk for one evening and woke up to zero potions and zero dumplings. Played properly for a few hours and I was up to 20 again. If you play like I did on that evening you're gonna have a shitty time, though.

It gives a pretty fair variety, but it's set outfits and not changeable parts like GW2 has. On the other side, the outfits are way nicer looking and the sexy ones make the sexiest GW2 outfits look prude, especially with the better character models.
GW2 has more varied parts and an option to dye, but that's about it.

Incredibly. You can put two nice looking characters of the same race next to each other and both can look incredibly different.

Summoner is fine vs everyone, and they're in no means the worst. They dump on a number of classes without trying, and a good Summoner will shut down all attempts to do combos/skills off CCs, because their cat will CC you in response.
