So has anyone's opinion of the game changed in CBT2?

I was happy enough with CBT1 but I tried PvP during CBT2. I usually don't PvP much in games but its balanced enough in BnS that I'm actually looking forward to it. It boosted up my total enjoyment of the game by quite a lot, and I'm looking forward to BnS that much more because of it.
Of course I'll still rage any time I lose, like that FM that made me her bitch.

The story is really good too, so much better than Tera where it feels so disjointed and unimportant. I went from being iffy about starting Cinderlands, starting CBT2 at level 22, to finishing it at the beginning of Moonwater at level 40. Absolutely love the story, can't wait to see more of it.
Do wish Soha had a different VA.

Soha is one of the first VAs that legitimately grated against me. Most of the VO isn't great, but I don't play MMOs for the world renowned voiceovers so its fine if they're just not great. Soha though..terrible. It wouldn't be so bad if it weren't so out of place.

I wasn't really feeling the game at first, but after Blackram Narrows I think it really took off. The dungeon itself was fun, but more importantly the skills start to become more fun to use as you upgrade them around that time. Looking forward to more.

None. I just linger in generals to give really long posts of occasionally outdated advice. I finally got my character to match my personality.

I also pvp'd for the last hour just to see if I was as mediocre as the advice I give. Didn't lose against a single FM, although I do hate them. Beat LBM 2/3 times, lost against the only Destroyer I've ever fought against due to sheer bullshit, beat one BM then lost against another, and I managed to kill a Summoner's cat before dying because I can't for the life of me proc my 30s cc skill.

I ended up at 1440 or something. I probably won't actually pvp at release.

I too am a BM. Here's a longwinded post.

LBMs deflect attacks through their spin, which deals mediocre damage while also stunning you if you hit them within .5 seconds of using it. Your goal is to perfect guard the spin (blocking an attack within .5 seconds of using guard) to stun, but there are times where your block will be resisted for trying to cc in the exact same .5 second window, which is as confusing as it is stupid.

LBMs (former) strength lies in air combos, which they can chain with autistic fervor, but some also spec their lightning slash to do x2 damage on downed opponents.

Your counter is essentially stunning them before they stun you. Don't attack recklessly because your guard is a guard, while their guard is an attack. You want to spec Recovery (Tab when cc'd) to get you out of stuns/force grabs and time your counterattack (3 when downed) to mitigate as much damage as you can, while also spec'ing your long ranged skills to cc. Your z (blade toss) can be spec'd to knockdown, your c (shoulder tackle) should be spec'd to daze for 3 seconds, and even your 2 (distance closer) should be spec'd to stun. (Be careful because the cooldown triples).

Whenever you stun them, use your air combo then Q into quickdraw stance while they're on the ground. Your quickdraw LMB should be spec'd to stun every 45* seconds to extend the amount of time you have for free hits in the stance, then use lightning slash (F) before the daze wears off.

Naturally, all of these stuns make you an asshole, but LBMs are even bigger assholes so there shouldn't be a problem.

Caution: LBMs .5 second block window can stun you from a distance, just as you can stun your opponent from a distance when they try to hit you with a projectile, and their blade throw can also be spec'd to knockdown. Pretty much everything you can do, they can do as well but with the addition of Force Choke, which is something you might want to save your recovery (Tab) for to avoid having no chi.

Best rule of thumb is to turn faction chat off entirely, which still allows clan recruitment messages to get through in case you decide to have friends at some point or something. I don't have faction chat turned off in the arena lobby and it's really just a bunch of stupid shit flying across the screen nonstop. The only downside (implying) is that you will see absolutely no communication from other players for the entirety of your questing experience, which almost makes it feel like a dead private server. I only made it to Lv21 as Force Master in the two nights I played. So far it seems like a fun, if silly, game. I wouldn't say it has a great story, but it's like a kung fu movie.

However, you keep getting skills to better your combos and alter your methods of killing things so the combat doesn't get stale nearly as fast as some other MMOs. For our current cap, you can pretty much ignore all mechanics in dungeons with a party and just have an all out dps race. Fortunately in later patches you have to actually remember that life is more than animation canceling, with failure resulting in tanking the floor.

Played BM to 45. Struggled in PvP because I hadn't played enough PvP to even control my own class well enough to have time to pay attention to what the opponent's class was doing or capable of doing. Sure, you start remembering the abilities that shit on you after a few losses but when you're too focused on what you're doing yourself, you miss the signals and eat them anyway.

Made a destroyer, the other class I was interested in. Either I'm ten times better than I was when I started leveling the BM or this class is simply much better in this version, though judging from just the road from 1 to 30. Thought I'd learn to play a class that's better in PvP in this version just so I could better understand the other classes before trying the more reactive BM.

It's pretty demoralizing learning to play as a BM when you know the class is not very good in this version of the game to begin with, and you know you suck on top of that.

They have three spins.

One's one that you're guaranteed to spec for the 400% defense when spinning. This one is immune to all cc bar knockdowns and knockbacks. You basically do this 24/7 if not using another spin or ccing someone.

Next is the fiery spin. It's meant to be an aggressive one, but it still makes you immune. It has a decently long cd and once you press it, you can keep using it for 6 seconds. Makes you immune to all cc bar stuns and snares.

Third is this weird-ass execute that does a fucking million damage or makes you tank. Immune to everything bar knockbacks and snares or something, iirc.

They're brain dead as fuck. Just do a combination of these three things and beyblade about without really thinking. Eventually, you'll land a dashing cc and grab someone. The end.

I'm playing on Australian ping and I find even KFM animation canceling to be easy.

When I played Destroyer I felt like I was in heaven because of how simplistic it is. You mash two, sometimes three buttons at the same time when raging and you drop people to negative health regardless of ping. You don't even need to animation cancel for anything but their single mashing combo that you do when the enemy is cc'd without any form of escape, and at that point, you could be on 1000 ping and still do a shitton of damage because of how dumb it is.

Tried out Sin and FM, didn't like FM at all. Not sure if its cause of the 200 ping but not enjoyable, definitely gonna play Sin and Destroyer at the next betas and launch for some PvP, and stick with them mainly.

I soooort of tried out sin. But I was too preoccupied getting my original character higher. I'm such a slow leveler compared to everyone else.
I'm really not a fan of melee classes though so I might just stick with my original plan to level fm and sum to completion. and maybe keep the sin for roleplaying purposes.

There is some customization but it feels like there's not much for female Gon and possibly the other races, maybe its cause I only like 3-4 hairstyles and the majority feel like meme hair. Feels like Tera or FFXIV has better.

I tried assassin. I like them but damn they're squishy. Also why is KFM considered the hardest? At least they have a spammable block and their dodges have an extra 1 second resist on them. They can also take more than 2 hits. Assassins on the other hand don't have a spammable block, only one dodge, and take FM tier damage when they get hit. Their only anicancel requires stealth too.

I'm sorry, but that's a terrible opinion.
Neither TERA or FFXIV has the same level of character creation as B&S where you can tweak nearly every aspect of your character's face and body. If you don't like most of the hair styles, that's fine, because they're planning to release most "western" hairstyles near launch, but come on, man.
