Currently my team has enough technique-based attackers, so I'm using a physical Komiger. It works okay-ish, though there are better yo-kai that uses physical attacks better.

What the fucking fuck? Are they trying to kill the series? There's a joke later on in season two about how he keeps repeating his name and rather then just having him conform to it they just have him make random grunting noises.

Best place to grind for exp? Where the enemies use a lot of Inspirits. You know how we get extra exp with purification and all.

It's too much work. Like in the video from >>122645865 it just takes one certain picture and you can hop back and forth between dates. The oni yelling at you doesn't do a thing.
Mind you, that's only THIS game. In YW2 if you change your date you get locked out of the crank a kai for a full day.
I'd say this is more for those people who're at the end of the game an need to grind for coins to get that rare yokai and then get the orbs to train them up.

Why is the map useless if you're not trying to progress the story?

I'm not 100% sure how to get to some of the areas that Watch Upgrade quests require me to, and usually find them through headaches and luck.

I'm at the construction site, but see no Yo-kai. I don't remember how to get to the Flower Shopping Hall or whatever it is, and the map is no fucking help.

How do you unlock more poses?

How does a tough yokai contribute to a team if:
>it does less damage than charming, brave, or mysterious types because tough types usually have less speed and speed increasing items decrease attack
>it can't make attacks go towards it without a sticker of hate which undos the high defense, another yokai randomly inspiriting it to be the focus of attacks which could backfire if the wrong ally is inspirited, or using its soultimate which doesn't last forever and it can't build back up quickly because of low speed

That's just to grind for coins to get Crank-A-Kai exclusive Yo-Kai, not for EV's. It does nothing competitively, or even to the game. It is mainly used for people who want to complete the medallium, or simply want a specific Yo-Kai. The Crank-A-Kai in the first game is downright unfair, so this method is completely warranted. Second game is the one with the penalties, but since nothing is exclusive to it, there's little reason to cheat it.

I was yelled at for a week when I said the dub OP was nothing like the JP one whatsoever besides gero gero po and the BGM. People fucking insisted it was a direct translation.

Having started the anime before playing the game, I'm disappointed that the summoning song is only played in one cutscene.

Censorship aside it's alright in being true to the series, but the quality of the voice acting and some of the changes and censorship are just flat out bad. Like making mangas and posters blank white sheets is pure laziness and unnecessary, and you can tell the voice actors arent even trying or were just cast all wrong. Almost all of them dont sound their age or sound like they're reading off a script with no character like Mangymutt and Robonyan.

I'm in an odd spot because I wanna enjoy both versions (series in all), and maybe it's because I watched the sub first, the dub isn't bad to me but it's not that great either. I guess I'll just continue watching the sub. Youkai Watch motivated me to start studying Japanese kinda anyway with the initial lack of info and blatant mistranslations here and there, so I'm attached to the Japanese series in that way too.
Actually, does anyone with the Japanese DVDs know if they made any animation changes? (Sadly no BD release, and I wouldn't use the dub for reference incase that's their doing.)

He doesn't really 'review' them (and even if he did it's all Nippon which I can't understand), but he opens them up, builds them, puts stickers on them, all while recording, and usually in complete silence. His videos are strangely relaxing, though some have funky upbeat music on them.

If you scroll through the videos in that playlist you'll find them. For example video #2 is a sort of compilation video. Kyuubi is number 20 in the playlist, and if you listen to it with no music playing and with headphones on late at night, you feel a tingly ASMR sensation all over your body.
