You need the local leader perk. Go into workshop menu, go up to some random settler and hit the supplyline button, you can setup a spider web supplyline going to all your settlements.

So when do these factions start asking for commitment? I just got the prototype for the Railroad and this slut is asking for a yes or no answer. Danse is waiting for me at the police station too and I've yet to meet a friendly from the institute. I'm undecided still, clearly, and I think I want access to lots of cool tech but I'm playing a sneaky type character so I'm torn. And there's always the option of forming my own Minuteman army and laying waste to all who oppose me.

If anyone's got a quick rundown of the factions that'd be real nice.

ME3 has better combat, better graphics and better RPG than Fallout 4.

Settlement building is hit and miss, some things are messed up like building walls on small hills, its really hard to attain 100% happiness for settlers and lots of the crafting is locked behind Charisma with the Local Leader perk (6 CHA)
The game map as a whole is rather small, but much like New Vegas there are more locations on the map to explore.

Remember how Fallout 3 was huge, but little in the way of places to explore? Its not like that at all.

As for Guns, its a loaded question because of all the types of mods you can apply to them that you can build yourself.

Take a Pipe Rifle, unmodded its two handed, not automatic, uses .38 rounds and probably no stock. Once you start taking the Gun Nut perk(s) you can make that Pipe Rifle into an automatic bringer of death and destruction. They changed around the damage perks a little bit, remember how Commando was only for two handed weapons? Now it is for all automatic weapons. meaning your 10mm pistol you started with will be effected by commando when you mod it to be automatic.

Also, games been out for only a week, only shit mods available now, give it time.

The first 10 or so level will rock your balls off your body.

Even on Normal it will be an uphill battle. It pretty much requires you take the blacksmith and armorer perks and once you get yourself a nice and decent set of metal armor and a decent weapon itll be amazing.

You have to get way farther in for you to have to make the 'who duh enemy' choice
In the case of the brotherhood vs institute it explicitly tells you "if you do this the other side will become your enemy".

Railroad is a bit easier to avoid committing to since you HAVE to choose the institute for the choice mentioned above before you can choose them, and if you go too far into the Brotherhood questline you become enemies with the Railroad with little warning except that they become hostile after you talk to Kells in the quest right after you become a paladin

WHY ARE THE SUPER MUTANTS IN BOSTON?
Seems like they're a strain made by the Institute to de-estabilize the region, on account of their FEV lab. These mutants are as strong as the Mariposa ones but as dumb and growthful as the 87 ones, making it the best of two worlds for the Institute. A growing threat that constantly diverts the populace's focus from them that's too stupid to realize it's being manipulated. Makes sense for the MIT/CIT to have it, considering they were one of the biggest scientific centers pre-war, and had as much pull as West-Tek and Vault-Tec. When the gov't/shadowy bussinessmen decided to divide the FEV research they probably had more than one company to distribute it by.

Some speculation, but seems to be the correct answer

That's actually exactly what just happened. I shot it thinking it was still alive, but no, it was just a corpse, walked up over the ridge and there was a fucking legendary alpha deathclaw. Had to use PsychoJet to kill it and thankfully got to keep all my limbs.

And all it dropped for me was a shitty auto pistol that does 50% more dmg to super mutants.
