I personally put dozens of hours into the PvP in the foreign versions and even I still can only barely maintain a 1600ish Elo range. There's just a fuckton of knowledge and muscle memory you need to develop before you can compete.

Fortunately, even if you lose a lot, eventually you'll reach a point where you get easy opponents and can work your way up from there.

Assassin has a low skill ceiling. You're going to cheese the first few matches without trying because of the endless supply of cc, but once you get to silver it's going to take a ton of autism to win even once unless you're going against people who also just made it to silver.

You're going to bleed out of your asshole trying to get gold, assuming you actually want to stick with pvp, because once you figure out how to counter an assassin, you'll probably never lose against them again, which is why they don't rank so well globally.

From what I've seen, assassins are super-popular (not GOOD, but popular), at least in PvP. At higher Elos you see lots of destroyers and blade dancers, but there's still a decent variety.

For or to? If it's a challenge for you, I'd recommend a different class. If it's a challenge to you, then best of luck. Whenever you stealth behind someone, try to mark them with timed bomb and shadow kunai before starting your air/mine combo. The time bomb is mostly just to tack on damage, but the kunai can be used for an instant distance closer and daze/knockdown. Once knocked down, use Shadow Strike (it should be spec'd to do basically double damage on knocked down opponents) and then poison breath (which should be spec'd to do a fuckton of damage).

Your biggest problem will probably be chi management, as Sin doesn't regenerate chi over time and an assassin without chi is a dead man walking. Honestly, you're going to be changing your skillset a lot based on your opponent, but primarily based on if your opponent is ranged or melee.

For ranged, use a spec'd smokescreen to negate all ranged attacks like an annoying faggot, then tab to change places, shadow dash, then proceed to do the usual combo.

For melee, hold on to your asshole and focus on either switching or substitution jutsu, because if you get hit even once you're fucking dead. On the off chance you don't get raped within seconds of getting cc'd, use flashbang (or whatever) to blind/daze your opponent. If they're not retarded, they'll have already turned away and you'll have wasted your flashbang and will subsequently die.

- no clue what to do against a destroyer, nigga just spins and I die
- enchanced poison breath thingie disabling blocks~ literally makes KFM useless

Be careful with the shuriken against classes that stun after blocking (which is pretty much all of them), as these stuns don't take into consideration the distance between the attacker and the blocker, and will stun you regardless of where you are, just as your decoy will take you from one side of the room all the way to an FM.

KFM's elbow strike in particular deals a lot of damage for a counter, but also enables a RB distance closer that can fuck your shit up in a heartbeat.

Destroyers are faggots, but they're not very effective faggots. Once you get past the spin, there is just a sandbag that needs to be killed. Things like your poison and mine bomb don't proc your opponents defensive cc, as Destroyer's spin can stun if you hit them within the first .5 seconds (or something) of their spin. Whenever they start to spin, double tap S to backstep, then use your distance closer to fuck them up toward the end of the spin. It's not necessarily a knockdown but it forces them to get on one knee or some shit. That's prime time to your use your poison, then mine bomb to actually get them on the ground, and shadow strike for a huge chunk of damage.

The web is to extend airborne time while you set up for another combo. Generally this is when you put a mine under them to knock them down the second they get out of the air and continue your combo.

Not really. Rather, it's not that they're particularly bad or anything, but the skill ceiling is stupidly high. KFM has a crippling weakness against ranged attacks and the sheer exactness of your counters ensures that you'd better have retardedly good ping if you want to even have a sliver of a chance at winning.

Currently, they top the charts in sheer dps (due to animation canceling) in pve, but that doesn't transfer over to pvp very well unless your opponent has blown all of their recovery and have no hope of countering. Their grappling skills can be (very) easily countered and if you don't have base knowledge of other classes you're probably going to spend most of the time getting your fudge packed. KFM has an atrociously little amount of cc, and even less sustain.

Essentially, there's a reason that KFM is the only class with 5 stars of difficulty (Or 4 1/2 I forgot), but if you manage to git gud at it your dick will grow at least 3 inches guaranteed.

Right now we only have the first three acts. It ends in suffering.

There are a grand total of 6 acts released so far, though the 6th act is pretty short comparatively. The 7th act is set to release in Korea this December. The 5th act is the conclusion of the Jinsoyun story (the 'climax' or 'denouement' so to speak).

We probably will not catch up within the first year, though we should at least hit Act 6 by the end of 2016. (By then Korea will be on Act 8 anyway.)

Your best bet is to freeze then get behind your opponent so they can't dodge you. The reason I won my match is because the FM kept spamming the ice rain, which after casting is kind of used independently of the FM, giving me free range to 'perfect block' the projectiles, stunning him from a great distance which gave me enough time to get close and air combo.

At no point did he attempt to get behind me, but instead tried only to stay far enough away.

You want to use ice, absolutely, but if you spam ice nonstop you're doing yourself a disservice, as it really doesn't have the greatest damage and leaves you having to defend yourself when the enemy gets close.

BM's floating sword stance can be used to defend against all projectiles, and reduce damage by 15%. Its uptime is roughly 10 seconds, but floating swords has a 1min cooldown. After using it, they have to rely on timed blocks for stuns. Ice rain can be blocked from all sides because it is considered an aerial attack (somewhat), so it's not a great skill to use against BMs, as it defeats the purpose of needing to move behind them.

For LBM, the spin is really the only thing that deflects attacks with a stun, but they have a skill or two within melee range that resists all damage. Freeze the LBM, let it spin itself into a coma in expectance of something to deflect, then rape the piss out of them. Stay far enough away from them to avoid getting force choked, and the second you see that you're both within range for a choke, use yours and throw them back before they get a chance to use it.
