Gaster's a weird thing that's in the game's files but never shows up in the actual game. There's a value called "Fun" that's supposed to tell you what kind of Gaster you find, but it's glitched and everything that's supposed to set it changes it to "fun" with a lowercase "f", which doesn't trigger a Gaster appearance.

In theory, it's simple to SAVE Flowey/Asriel. All he needs is a monster SOUL inside his body to give him the emotional depth that he can't feel on his own. The tricky part is getting one; he can't just steal one, since that would leave him feeling horribly guilty for the rest of his life on top of the risk of rejection, and the monsters don't know of a way to make a SOUL from scratch.

Still, we do know that SOULs come into existence; every monster is born with a unique one, so it's definitely possible to create them. Monster science will likely find a solution sooner or later, and Flowey's got plenty of time to wait.

The obvious implication here is that there is exactly 1 person with the power at any given time, like how the hero in an RPG usually makes the biggest changes because they have the will to do it. What's more confusing is the proximity or if it can raise/lower based on the person's motivation or personal character changing. Not worth worrying about too much anyway.

I used to use tumblr pretty often for certain small fandoms so I've never had a hatred of it or the users (even now -- the kin stuff just annoys the hell out of me). It has its own special kind of problems that I haven't seen anywhere else, so I'm baffled by it.
I've been outside looking in for a while, so seeing something like that is shocking when you go outside and see that other people aren't telling other people to kill themselves (at least in my section of the neighborhood) or yelling at people to convince them to passively enable kids' mental issues. You're right, there's a lot of people who use extreme events to prop their own personal crusades up, and that's really unhealthy too.
Best thing would probably be to do something or say something about it instead of back-n-forthing on an anonymous imageboard, but I can't be bothered, haha. I am the problem.

Interestingly enough, a really big clue about what Sans is/was like comes from Papyrus. I think he mentions on two separate occasions that Sans is very much into outer space/science in general. Plus there's that quantum physics book that certainly didn't belong to Paps.

I'm 100% certain that Sans's relation to Gaster, whatever it is, be it son or brother or coworker, is the reason why Sans has the powers he does. Which just begs the question exactly how and why..

Well, there's something weird about the skeletons simply by virtue of them being ~skeletons~. A lot of monsters look like weird things, but those two look exactly like dead humans, even though they're biologically monsters. It's kind of strange to think about.

Sans mentions that he knows what it feels like to be trapped in a place far away from home, and it's mentioned that they just appeared in Snowdin one day and started doing things. I think they might be from another world. Which raises several questions of its own.
