So why is the Institute replacing/replicating people? What do they gain from that?
That is never explained in the game, they don't have an agenda to make the replicated people sleeper agents that they will activate or anything. They just replicate them and that is it? Nothing else? They just want to make everyone a synth for no reason at all.
If it was to improve humanity they would change their mindset, but no, they're still the same people as before but now they're synths.
Then in the end you become the head of the Institute if you side with them and that is it.

And why is the BoS destroying technology instead of hoarding it and using what they can to improve their own? It is understandable that they see AI as being heretic technology and want to destroy THAT, but completely destroy 200 years of unhindered technological advancements that their scribes could use to give them even more technological superiority? Makes no sense at all.

Help me guys
trying to make a simple retexture mod for my character but I just cant figure out which files change only the player's character and which ones affect every single character in the game

first I thought it'd be the basehumanmale folder and it's textures but then i thought, maybe it's base textures for ALL the male characters, I seriously dont want every male to look exactly the same
it even contains files such as "base male head" and "young male head" so it can be anything

if anybody has any more information about this, please help, I need to know which folders only affect the player

Whats the best pistol in the game?
the .44 does the most damage per-shot, but i've found using the .50 bolt pipe pistol is better for sniping since it can use a supressor.

The two-shot 10mm is my best all round pistol though, something like 103 damage a shot with great fire rate.

Why is Righteous Authority so god damned good? I've used it since I got it at level 8, and I'm now level 42. All the mods I wanted for it come off of Gunners and "accidental" kills on BoS members, so I don't even need the perks to use them.

So I'm still early in the game, but I found a weapon that deals an extra 50 radiation damage. Problem is, that extra radiation damage doesn't seem to be doing much. It has 24 regular energy damage + 50 radiation and it seems to hurt less than a 30 energy damage laser rifle.

How does radiation damage on weapons work?

I feel letdown by charisma. People were saying it was possibly to make charisma heavy builds by relying on your companions but that just sounds like a terrible idea when they suck so bad. I hardly ever see my companion fight at all since they're permanently stuck on a table or 50 feet behind me somewhere, not to mention they actually use up your ammo now.
