Guys, I have a crash issue, does this sound familiar to anyone?

I've played the game maybe 20 hours. I'm new to the game. I've started in Gridania, and now I'm lvl 19 and using the airship. I get to Limsa Lominsa. I hand in a few quests in town. No biggie.

My game crashes. Ah whatever. 20 minutes later... it crashes again.

I go outside Limsa Lominsa and start fighting local lvl1 wildlife. (A friend of mine has started up a character and started there as a Marauder.) The game crashes again.

I boot up the launcher. I boot up the game. I choose my character. Game crashes the split second it loads the map. I don't even see myself. It just goes from load-screen with moogle, to black screen crash and a "game had to close" error pop-up.

My computer was playing this game fine for over 20 hours. Then all of a sudden it just crashes outside Limsa Lominsa. I got my friend to boot up my character and run him back into town, and then I tried again... still crashes on loading.

The only lead I had was that my video card, a Radeon R9 270 might have a memory issue with the game, but any fixes I see online amount to "turn the graphics down", and they don't fix anything.

I just want to play! Anyone have any solutions?

I'll just sit and relax sometimes in the major cities, and random people will come up and compliment my glamour(s) and it'll start a convo. I'll also look for people crafting and see if they need HQ gear or help with whatever theyre trying to craft. You'll run into the occasional weirdo or two from time to time. I used to carry newer players through dungeons (esp dps because their queue times are annoying), but recently had a few them get a little needy and constantly ask for carries, so I stopped doing that.

Hate to suggest it, but if you haven't you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the client to see if anything went wrong your game files. But if you are getting straight up crashes and not disconnects from the game that have error messages, it's gotta be something with your PC. Is your card old?

There's plenty of hit-or-miss since not everyone out there is looking to make new friends, but it can start as simple as receiving compliments on your character or making compliments on someone elses' (kinda like >>122359506 suggests). Helping people out is also a mixed bag, but many times people that need help would like to be helped by someone that wants to stick around and be a friend, too. Just be wary of people that are just out to take advantage of offers of assistance.

Finish the cast regardless. As I said before, interrupting your casts results in a loss of DPS. Just queue up the Thundercloud/Firestarter proc you have during your cast and you'll be fine.

Running it as a 4 man with my friends, it's the only second coil fight where we can't steamroll it quite as much as the other ones. Definitely fun to revisit; we just need to make more time for unsync'd runs.

I know the set is overused quite a lot but I do feel it looks good on most people. Though I'm not real fond of it on any of myown characters funny enough.

I really wish they'll change Idyllshire's day music when it doesn't look as messed up anymore like what they did with Revenant's Toll. It's the only music in the game I'd rather turn off...well maybe the theme of the Northern Thanalan sanctuaries as well.

I looked up some threads/topics about virtual memory. Someone discribed how to set a custom max amount. Mine was auto-detecting max MB virtual memory at about 24000MB, roughly. I up'd it to 48000MB to see if it helped at all. Restarted computer (computer seemed quicker) But game still crashed upon loading character.
