Maybe that's where I'm different, I really don't care about how characters play and would much rather have a smaller cast that gets more individual focus. It's a bit strange to run around with a gigantic crowd of people, I thought how Zestiria handled it was pretty neat in the end with you only really having two people due to how the Seraphs were handled. Story bits didn't end up overcrowded or awkward.

What are the best settings for the game? I have done the ff:

- applied the widescreen hack

But I think I have a problem with the sound, when I was in the 1st tutorial with Master Van, the music didn't change to the battle music. Also after the tutorial, my screen just stayed black all throughout.

Zestiria is fun so far. Just got Rose. The only problem is that it doesn't show everything. The whole "stall the boss while we complete the contract" between Rose/Hat-fag and Lailah was retarded as fuck. Why didn't they show the contract being formed? They just suddenly jump into battle. Yeah, there are a lot of areas where it would have been neat to see the reactions expanded upon. I mean, Sorey's gone his whole life being able to see seraphim, having his resonance literally beaten out of him probably would have been harder to deal with if he didn't have to handle escaping with Rose immediately. And on Mikleo's end it must have sucked to have Sorey unable to see/hear him after literally having him there their entire lives.

Well, put it this way. I know it's budget as fuck. I know a lot of people hate it. I know the beginning is a goddamn slog. I hate that Lloyd and Zelos' VAs were replaced. I was angry that the voice director couldn't bother to maintain consistency. Regal's Mystic Arc was a joke.

But I enjoyed the expanding of the worldbuilding and material (even touching on Phantasia/Narikiri Dungeon stuff a bit), I thought Tenebrae was amusing, I liked the twist and development of Emil's arc (I really enjoy the stories that make more things fall into place in retrospect -- there's a lot of shit that seems like it's there just to be silly or explain things from the first game to a new player, but it's actually foreshadowing), and it some ways it gave some nice follow-up for the fallout of the first game. The fact that it addressed and cleared up a big plot discrepancy people had been asking about since Symphonia came out was nice, too, not to mention seeing the combined world map using Phantasia's music.
