Alright, I'm throwing in the towel, I'm stuck.
I followed the guide completely and got the game to work. then I downloaded all the updates and English mods.When I try to apply the mods however, it says there is Japanese characters in the way.
So I downloaded the registry fixer and followed that guide. I click English, then chose AA2Game or whatever. then

"Registering Artificial Academy 2 / Play was Succeeded. Do you feel like to run the launcher for test?" pops up, I click yes

"The C:\illusion\Artificial Academy 2\AA2Play_English.exe wasnt found in game folder, Game folder will be opened instated"

I looked every where and can't find that file or a solution to this problem.

Ive read everything in the OP and that shed no light ether. Has anyone ran into this problem before? I have been working on this for 2 hours, I just want to play dammit.

To install the translation you need to use wizzard.
Download the Consolidated translation, drop it in the wizzard's AA2_PLAY\mods folder and install. The game should be translated

Also I noticed that you have spaces in the path. This might be what's causing the problem instead. Remove spaces and run the registry fix again.

Yeah, I was. Spent over 2 hours in the character creation screen making my self insert and my waifu.

It's pretty fun though. Was worried with all the changes but it looks beautiful on PC, and the gunplay is really fun.

Iirc there's a checkbox that allows you to prevent the fixer from renaming your folder.It's not checked by default.
If you can't figure it out fuck the fixer and fix your registry manually. Refer to picrelated.

You dont really care if it can't find that file. You can name it whatever you want most of the time. Now that the registry is fixed you open the translation's archive you downloaded and follow the instructions.
