originally the idea i had was to keep the best attack with it's large range between the bottom end and the top end, and then have another attack type that has consistent damage
so like a sword could have 1-10 for its slashing but 5-5 for its thrust so you could choose between consistency or a possibility for max damage
but since according to the UESP, the damage ranges aren't random it just changes depending how long you hold the attack key down for i guess that idea doesn't matter

I don't know of any poison enhancers. Chaurus slime seems to be more potent than other poisons in my game, but I don't know if it's a mod's doing (and if it is, which one) or just normal.
Sperg levels up the effectiveness of spells with their relative skill. Otherwise you have to go through Skytweak, but I don't use it so I can't tell what to do exactly.

I'd point a finger at Immersive Detection and Wet and Cold. They both can get quite performance heavy, and a lot of people have reported constant CTDs with Immersive Detection.

Get rid of Immersive Detection and see if things improve. If they don't, disable Wet & Cold via its MCM (pretty sure that's a thing, its been a while), get into a safe secluded interior, save, quit, disable that too.

Apparently you end up forfeiting all of your gear when you start the quest. I booted up the mod and started the first area within The End of Time and I turned into Sir Daniel. It was just equipment but either way all of my existing stuff was gone.

Thanks, thought it might be purity since I fucked around with it and removed everything to do with pure waters since I prefer realistic waters. Don't like how they've shoehorned both pure weather and pure water together.

Messing with particle intensity and changing weather/waiting for 24 hours didn't fix it so just uninstalled, guess I'll look for something else.
