That's untrue and you know it. Every single person I know who's played gunner and did every single dungeon on them has said the class is bullshit babby easy and makes the game boring as hell. Not gonna name drop, but one of the gunners I know even sold his +15 lucid gun because the class was so boring and decided to play a tank instead. In fact, another friend who actually mains priest reached 1m/s dps with a +12 lucid gun without even trying. If you've played any other dps class, you'd realize that isn't easy to do with the tools other classes have, but on gunner it's literally just spam the shit out of AB and hope you get resets. You hit cap as fast as you want to, there was a guy who hit it in 24 hours, I've been playing months (with many alts) and my highest is 63 (Cap is 65)
The cash shop is all cosmetics so you can decide for yourself, the innerwear can be very useful. There is also a dressing room for said cosmetics

Yes, pure grinding is what gets you to level cap faster. atleast it was when i leveled that gunner. We got a buff for our story quests now however, so you get a lot of exp from simply doing your main story quest. So an inexperienced player should be able to hit 65 fairly quickly!

Priest is the class for heavy healing, its very beginner friendly, and welcome to most parties. It does the basic buffing and healing.

Mystic i havent really played myself, but i welcome an experienced mystic any time. They are a bit harder tho, because they lack things like aoe heals like priests have. So if you have high ping, you might suffer a bit from slow lock-ons. Compared to priests, mystic has weaker healing capabilities, but in an experienced party, that will not be a problem at all. They also have a very tasty crit aura buff that i as a zerker main love!
