Definitely Nathan, whom I imagine could also interact significantly with Victoria, David, Frank and Jefferson - which might make playing as those characters feel redundant. Nonetheless, I'd definitely be interested in doing so - David because there's still more story to tell, and Victoria simply because she'd be interesting to play as. Frank though is pretty much the only character in the series whom I feel served his purpose well from beginning to end. As much as I love him, I don't feel much need to play as him (but totally would given the opportunity), but I'd certainly like him to appear, since he's a fixture in multiple characters' daily lives.
And I don't particularly want to play as Jefferson. But maybe.

I'm torn about Rachel. I think actually seeing her, let alone playing as her, might hurt her mystique. I do think her story needs better rounding off, though.
I think it'd be interesting to play a DLC like this set in a time where she's still alive and part of everyone's daily lives, and everyone talks about her casually and she's a part of the story, but we still never actually see her.

I wish it could take place after but disregard the tornado. I'd like to go back to comfy times on campus, this time as a recovering Kate and a Victoria trying to redeem herself. Nathan facing the legal consequences of his actions could be pretty neat as well. Frank trying to get out of the drug business after learning about Rachel is another possibility. Maybe they could also have David and Officer Berry working together to go over the loose ends of the Dark Room conspiracy (Prescott funding, other girls like Kelly and Lynn, etc.).

On second thought, rather than redundant, it'd be kinda cool if Victoria and Nate's stories crossed over.
There's a cool part towards the end of Until Dawn when we play as Josh while he's having hallucinations, then a little later we're playing as other characters who discover him at that same moment and see him from an outside perspective, and it's just kind of interesting.

Something similar could be cool, like we reach the end of Victoria's day and have to handle Nate through a weird meltdown that we/she has no context for, then later play as Nate and come to realise what he was melting down over. So both characters are enriched by the same plot point played out in two perspectives.
Might even be able to bring David in on the action.

I dunno, I kinda liked that you always played as Max and no one else and saw everything from her perspective. The purpose of Nathan and Victoria isn't to be understood on a deep emotional level by the players, but to be hated as the shit people they are on the outside, because that's ultimately the only thing that matters. Their actions define who they are, not their good intentions or misunderstood feelings and shit.

It was just one silly moment in the final act. Episode 4 was miles better than Chaos Theory. It managed to pace itself fairly well despite the last episode moving at a snail's pace and struck the right balance between relaxed and heartwarming, and dark and depressing. It had actual character growth for Chloe and utilised the supporting cast well. Plus the middle act showed the duo at arguably their most competent when they do some successful detective work.

As livid as I am about Nathan getting unceremoniously axed from the entire story despite playing a major, completely unsung role in one of the endings, I'm kind of thankful that at least they didn't fucking butcher him like they did with Jefferson. His voicemail was great, and his little snippets in the nightmare stayed true to his characterisation of a tragic but still kind of hilarious kid who has to do piles of drugs just to get through the day.

Jefferson, just... urgh. Fucking awful.

Literally all I wanted from episode 5 was an appearance from Nathan and for Jefferson to not give an expositional villainous monologue. I really, really didn't think that'd be expecting much. Basically along the lines of "I hope episode 5 isn't cancelled."

They also managed to completely obliterate Warren after miraculously making him almost interesting in episode 4.

And fucking Alyssa and Victoria - why even bring those two back if this is all you're going to do with them? Really? We just have to save Alyssa's stupid ass AGAIN, and Victoria gets stuffed in a proverbial fridge for literally no reason at all? What was wrong with leaving it at Alyssa reading her gay little poem and Victoria telling us how cool we were (or telling us to eat a dick)? What was wrong with that send off? It was perfect.

Evan and Frank were perfect though, wouldn't change a thing anywhere, I love those fuckers.

Alyssa's appearance was pretty predictable. Her misfortunes are a running gag after all. But yeah, Victoria's fate was just fucking awful. Positive interactions with Victoria is based around her being in the Dark Room. What Max says to her in the classroom is dependant on whether or not she believed you, even if you still buried the hatchet at the party. So in my save where she's safe Max chews her out but in the one where she's kidnapped Max offers her words of support. Stuffed in the fridge is a pretty appropriate description of how they handled her character.

Instead of "Chloe is more than my best friend" she says "Chloe and I are more family than a couple"

The last lines about Chloe in her nightmare giving her physical pain in her heart and "Is that the power of friendship... or love?" are still the same though.

So no matter what you do, her confused feelings for Chloe are always present. And no matter what you choose, there is never a diary entry that she thinks she's in love with Warren.

What do you guys make of the changes to the leaks?
Would the original leaks reperesent what they were originally going for? Or would it have to be out of order, with the On The Road ending taking place a good couple of locations earlier than the other, and the Nightmare appearing after both endings?

I wonder if they stole 'Jefferson's Car' from unused episode 4 assets just to make use of it the same way they seem to have stolen the 'Hospital - Ending' location for Kate's hospital scene. Since it creates more of an illusion of variety than using Chloe's Truck again.

What if you talked pleasently but simply didn't warn her, does Max still chew her out?
Though it's still fucking awful and meanspirited on the writers' part that Max needs to not warn her (and simply doesn't even make any sense on a cause and effect level, since Vic being suspicious of Nathan should make Jefferson want to keep her around to build up that scapegoating image).
Though to be honest, even in the 'nice' version of the classroom focus, Max came off as being a total uncalled for bitch, IMO. She was literally calling Vic out for things that hadn't even happened yet, no wonder the girl was just confused as fuck, and it didn't even seem to accomplish anything but weirding her the fuck out.

I feel like Vic's kidnapping was just a really cheap ass, emotionally manipulative way to trick us early on into the episode into thinking our previous choices would actually alter how Polarized would play out at all (and to get us good and ready to take the blame for creating disasters we had no choice in creating). Only instead of truly creating two different versions of the same scene like they have in the past, all they needed to do was create the default scene without Victoira, then add a couple of extra lines for her that don't actually impact anything.

Well I did only play the episode through twice on two different saves. After that I only went back to collect photos and that was it. The story would still be only about male-Chloe and Max. I doubt there'd be too many people whining about femWarren not having a chance considering after as early as ep 2, it's already clear that femWarren would never be an important character in this game.

- The Blue Jay is NOT Rachel.

- Jefferson's phone call in the hall in Ep2 was never supposed to be important, we just went crazy with fan theories.

- Hawt Dawg Man is a sorta reference to Adventure Time. The concept artist wanted to make reference to the show, but obviously they couldn't make such a direct character reference. They made the figure in Chloe's room first, and the other references came from that.

- I half missed it, but I thought they said that Lisa has a tag on it that is common in gardening to indicate how often it should be watered? But nobody recognised it? Might have just misinterpreted what they said.

- There is a Dr Who reference in each episode, and the Dontnod CEO appears in every episode in some fashion too.

- They approached Syd Matters early in development, and he fell in love with the game. So his music was used from the start, and I guess plays a real role in the "feel" of the game as it was developed.

And a few others that I can't quite remember. But overall they're giving an idea of what they were thinking while designing various parts of the game.

Going by that logic, they're implying that the Bay ending is right/better/correct/has the message because you let Chloe die and just let things happen, because they will anyway (Chloe kept dying afterwards).

We pretty much have to assume the universe is some kind of conscious entity, otherwise why the fuck would it summon a tornado because a random person lives when they should have died? It's not cause and effect or chaos theory where a change in the past leads to logical, but unforeseen consequences in the future. The universe literally summons a tornado as a direct reaction towards a certain event not occuring when it wanted it to occur.

Look, you don't have to buy into the whole fate/destiny part of this argument. The fact still remains that morally we make decisions based on what feels right and what we know. Max had no forsight that using her powers to make the perfect choices would cause a tornado, so going back in time to undo all of her choices because she can't accept those choices and move forward is the exact opposite of what they want to claim is what the bay ending is about.
