Space Launch System Edition

NOTE: The general consensus at /kspg/ is that you should torrent the game rather than purchasing it. The developer, Squad, is incompetent, extremely mismanaged, and is very resistant to all feedback or criticism. Furthermore, despite being poorly made, lacking a proper development team, years of unfixed bugs, and being in need of a serious physics and optimization overhaul, Squad has gone ahead and decided to add just a couple new features and jump straight to version 1.0 without proper balancing and bug fixing, just to boost sales. With their performance to date, it's clear that they do not deserve your shekels. If and when Squad begins developing KSP like the competent adults they like to think they are and stops acting abusively and manipulatively towards their community, we'll remove the above disclaimer. Until then, we as a community have decided that it stays.

Understand that we here at /kspg/ don't hate KSP; we've simply grown bitter over the way Squad has dragged such a promising title into the mud, and hope that our input might help to keep this sinking ship afloat a bit longer. However, we cannot in good conscience recommend buying this game to anyone.

No, they're still both shit. You start your gravity basically straight away after lift off, and the time you take to tilt over is dependant on your rocket (drag, TWR etc.)

BURN SQUADCAST

Reminder Max hasis cancer and is quitting

Shall I post this to the subreddit?

TITLE: A completely unverifiable rumor a little bird told me

BODY: Maxmaps will be quitting very soon. He didn't see the growth he'd been asked to generate and ultimately his post 1.0 plans lacked the oomph necessary to deliver the content and updates in an efficient and timely manner. (I.e. the 1.1 / 1.0.5. debacle)

Personally, I'm very excited to see a return to a development-focused KSP rather than one centered on biz dev plushie deals and rampant system stratification.

The KSP team is great but with exploding buildings and female kerbals being prioritized, we've had a long two years of "tweaks" and "small features" -- it'll be good to get back on track.

The heart of the matter is that Maxmaps didn't really contribute a ton of useful expertise or knowledge to the development of KSP, but we are lucky enough to have gotten his personal avatar in the game in the form of the dude in the Admin building, so in a way, he will always be with us, even if he is quitting in the next few weeks.

Would Badie care to comment on these rumors?

Thanks, this is my design and I barely made it back, and I mean, I literally adjusted my last descent onto kerbin with RCS.

I think I might be burning too much on landing / takeoff on the Mun, since I have literally no problems getting into orbit

Any tips for that?

And then I just burn upwards as in here. Other than that, just try to capitalize on every single unit of fuel and weight. Heat shield? Tweak it; you don't need 200 kg of ablator to aerobreak on Kerbin, 30 is more than enough. Solar panels? Gay. Take a couple of batteries and toggle them so you only use them when you need them, instead of them just draining their charge for no reason while on the trip to the Mun. Taking off Kerbin? No need to go faster than 200 m/s for the first 10k, you'll end up fighting against the atmosphere a lot.

>LSM-60 was modified with a well through the cargo deck and hull, a derrick to lower the bomb through the well, and a large antenna to receive the detonation signal. On 25 July, a standard Mk. 3A "Fat Man" type atomic bomb, nicknamed Helen of Bikini, placed in a watertight casing, was suspended 90 feet below LSM-60 in the lagoon of Bikini Atoll in the Marshall Islands.[4] At 0835 local time the bomb was detonated, destroying LSM-60 and eight target ships, including USS Saratoga (CV-3).[5] A seaman present claimed that "there was not one identifiable piece of the LSM-60 ever located",[4] however a British naval constructor present reports he saw a 3-inch (7.6 cm) square piece of LSM-60 on the deck of a target ship afterward.[6]

>During the Pascal-B nuclear test, a 900-kilogram (2,000 lb) steel plate cap (a piece of armor plate) was blasted off the top of a test shaft at a speed of more than 66 kilometres per second (41 mi/s). Before the test, experimental designer Dr. Brownlee had estimated that the nuclear explosion, combined with the specific design of the shaft, would accelerate the plate to approximately six times escape velocity.
>The plate was never found, but Dr. Brownlee believes that the plate never left the atmosphere, as it may even have been vaporized by compression heating of the atmosphere due to its high speed. The calculated velocity was sufficiently interesting that the crew trained a high-speed camera on the plate, which unfortunately only appeared in one frame, but this nevertheless gave a very high lower bound for the speed.

>The fireball created by Ivy Mike had a maximum radius of 2.9 to 3.28 km (1.80 to 2.04 mi). This maximum is reached a number of seconds after the detonation and during this time the hot fireball invariably rises due to buoyancy. While still relatively close to the ground, the fireball had yet to reach its maximum dimensions and was thus approximately "three and one quarter" miles (5.2 km) wide.

>The detonation produced a crater 6,240 feet (1.90 km) in diameter and 164 feet (50 m) deep where Elugelab had once been; the blast and water waves from the explosion (some waves up to twenty feet high) stripped the test islands clean of vegetation, as observed by a helicopter survey within 60 minutes after the test, by which time the mushroom cloud had blown away. The island "became dust and ash, pulled upward to form a mushroom cloud that rose about twenty-seven miles into the sky. According to Eric Schlosser, all that remained of Elugelab was a circular crater filled with seawater, more than a mile in diameter and "fifteen stories deep". The blast yielded 10.4 megatons of explosive energy, 650 times the energy that leveled central Hiroshima.

>Aerial footage of Elugelab and adjacent islands well before Mike shot at a time prior to the connecting causeway being created is available, as is footage after the causeway was finished that supported the diagnostic Krause-Ogle box light pipe system, with numerous trees removed in preparation of the shot also plainly evident, along with footage of the aforementioned helicopter survey of the Mike crater soon after the detonation, and finally, high altitude footage of the crater accompanied with details of its depth - "175 feet deep" - equivalent to the height of a "17 storey building" and with an area large enough to accommodate about "14 pentagon buildings".

You won't believe it, but I was the one behind the Space Shuttle design.

Back then in 1980 I was 5 years old. I sent NASA a picture of an ugly ass space fighter I drew after watching Star Wars for the first time.

For some reason unknown to me they thought it was a good idea. The Space Shuttle even has the same colours and shape as my fighter. That's how dense they were.

Ark is fueling my autism quite nicely. It feels like minecraft, and runs like shit, but at least it doesn't crash every 20 minutes like ksp, and the devs actually listen to their fanbase and give out regular updates. Hell, they even have a release date set for the final version. People say ksp was early access done right, fuck no it wasn't. This is early access done right.

Ksp did good by allowing mods, though. It allows the community to work on shit that they want while the devs can work on the core game. Squad did a shit job of this, of course, but the Ark devs are actual professionals and did incorporate one minor mod already.

Forgive me what I say now, but you sound like someone who discovers something the first time and is overwhelmed by it. Just like I was when I played KSP the first time. I thought it was a great game with great devs and finally an early access done right. Then, after some time, I learned the truth about KSP and Squad.

You are doing the same with Ark right now. You already notice that it runs like crap. There is no early access done right.

>There is no early access done right.

Yea, there is no early access done right, I take that back. Early access is shit and is just paying for beta, which in the past used to be something done for free. It doesn't really give the devs any incentive to make a good game because they already got their money.

But when I usually like I game, I tend to play it a lot. I think ksp is a good game, but it is clear that the devs stopped caring about the game a long time ago.

>>121485627
The notion that you can sell your idea, rather than your product, then use the finances from the sale of the idea to build the product is fundamentally illogical. It incentivizes, no, necessitates fraud.

A solution: require devs to advertise what percentage of their profits are being funneled back into development. In KSP’s case, it was actually less than 5% once all the math was done. The other 95% (or more) went into a shadow bank account and Steam Spy was scrubbed.

We effectively have no idea how much money they have actually made. This is a criminal act and, due to the new-ness of the area, SquEAd took advantage of this to separate billies from their money.

I would argue this is the real reason they refocused on children. Children don’t understand development. Children think a jet engine is on par with a game engine upgrade. Children have innocence and faith and want to defend the people they perceive as good.

Early access “done right” doesn’t make any sense. Many cite KSP as an example of “early access done right” but when you look at the financial breakdown and the laughable update schedule against the complete and total lack of a roadmap, it becomes clear this is a cash dragnet with no meaningful product vision.

And by not having a product vision, the KSP creators continue to profit from the scam, incentivizing further delay and disorganization that requires months just to untangle all the knots they make because they are subpar developers unwilling to spend resources to hire competent people who can code correctly.

I don't understand wh people have a lot of hatred towards Squad

They created an AWESOME indie game, it has won several awards, including best indie game 2015 and best gameplay from the Unity Awards

You faggots are the definition of ENTITLED

You don't have the right to complain about this game if you have invested over 200 hours on it

SIMPLE AS THAT
>>
>>121490862
I wasted 10 hours on the game, and quickly found it more and more of a shallow disaster of a game. Squad didn't create an "AWESOME" indie game. Squad created an "AWESOME" marketing plan, and sold the *idea* of a good game. Even if you want to go by the childish notion of "dollar per hour" for a game to be worthwhile, I'd have had to buy KSP when it first came out. I bought it when it was $16, and have yet to get my "money's worth" out of it.

Meanwhile, the dirty spics are funneling millions of dollars off to the Netherlands to avoid taxation, and playing the "we're SOOOOO indie!" card.

Ideally you'd want to keep some of the biosphere intact, no need to go completely fucking crazy and turn it into a molten hellhole. A few big ones on major cities would be enough to show the pleb Earthlings whose boss in the solar system whilst maintaining some of the biosphere that can be maintained and brought back. You'd still need to terraform things to swiftly return the planet to proper farm-world status for making food for the rest of the Solar System.

Soil is a bitch, and Earth has a shitload of it. You can argue for hydroponics and aeroponics but if you terraformed Earth into a full agri-world you could pump out a shitload of food.
>>
>>121502574
Earth also has the second highest delta-v to orbit of any terrestrial body in the Solar System
Also think of trying to preserve food until the next launch window, in addition to the transit time
I would think it'd just be better to have giant orbital hydro/aeroponics stations and drop food on a regular basis
This'd be especially effective on Mars, where reusable SSTOs would be much more feasible
>>
>>121502574
And then you'd have to lift all that food into orbit, put it on a trajectory to hit whatever planet you want to ship food to, and then land it.
It's extremely impractical.
It would be more efficient to launch aeoroponics equipment into orbital stations, and even more efficient to simply synthesise carbs and proteins in factories on the planet you're already on.
The biggest problem with modern agriculture is that we're raising a whole cow, just to get a little bit of beef. If we continue getting a higher population, we're likely going to just switch agriculture toward algae and insects, which are far more efficient to grow large quantities of, and have similar nutritional values.

In the rapidly growing, expanding, connecting world of the 21st century, morals become skewed, perspectives change opinions, and as we depart from our simple mindsets, we often find ourselves overcome by the understanding that our actions, beliefs, words and plans will have countless unforeseen consequences in the ether of the future.

Within this context we have become the literal gods of a previous world — we have powers and abilities and understanding of deep context that give us unbridled license to make, shift, mashup, create and innovate within this context. Those who grasp that strength create wholly new, dynamic, justified experiences that exemplify not only the pinnacle of human creation, but a deep caring for the general direction of the world.

And then there’s Maxmaps. It’s so rare that within this hypercomplex world, we could be awarded with such a pristine distillation of the base human emotions that disrupt our inner human desire for excellence, yet here we are, looking at him, as if he were an item of evidence in a massive class-action fraud lawsuit.

Borne out of the armpit of the world, left to rot in dingy Mexican streets and in front of a video game console, one Mexican boy emerged from the pit of hepatitis and broken dreams partially cohosting a World of Warcraft radio show where he served as the quintessential illiterate Mexican comic relief that contrasted against the real hosts and made their conversation seem meaningful.

From this festering pit of incompetence and mediocrity came someone who unabashedly believed fascism was the only way to effectively control a populace and believed that he had within him the passion and intelligence to become the next Notch.

After a few years of obscurity “working in pharma” in Mexico, Max found himself at Squad, insulting their most recent project, a promotion of the new “Leaf” car while being onboarded for his new role: managing the community of Kerbal Space Program.
>>
It was around this time that resourcegate occurred, signifying KSP’s ultimate shift into a dev cycle measured in years rather than weeks, and the .23 roadmap was thrown out to accommodate a one-off deal with NASA that had lasting implications on releases up to and past .25.

Also during Max’s beginning with KSP, we saw the focus move away from Sandbox and to a “career” mode, even though the game was still very much in Alpha and starting career so early only served to petrify the development in the same state of half-bakededness we still have the pleasure of experiencing to this day.

Just as Max entered the frame, many of the original American and international devs left, and they were replaced by Mexicans, as if this were logical. Since Max’s introduction to the Kerbal Space Program team, we have seen numerous meaningless PR deals that have served as one-off announcements designed to distract the fanbase from asking meaningful questions about the development of KSP. Likewise, we have also seen a rise in the harmful moderation that has led to the self-censoring community of KSP fans today who have been trained to simply drop all expectations from Squad, “because they’re an indie dev.”

Keep in mind that the delaying of development in line with developing career has mirrored another disturbing trend: putting less than 5% of all “profits” from early access back into development. This has been status quo for years, and has allowed Squad to maintain a fraud and scam, promising a game in development, while keeping the majority of the profits in an offshore bank account, while scrubbing profits from the online repositories designed to keep Steam companies honest.

“You give me too much credit,” Maxmaps will likely magically pop up and say — but no, to get that from this is a fundamental misreading. The point of asking these questions and making these connections is not to prove that MAXMAPS ADDS NOTHING —
>>
the truth of it is that Maxmaps has inherently and irreperably damaged the development of KSP, leading up to the sad truth of the matter: “Maxmaps killed KSP”

Maxmaps adds nothing is a constant reminder to the wider community to ask what is _really_ happening whenever Max announces a new secret feature or new meetings in progress — he is taking up valuable resources developing in-game “purchase” buttons for 3D models and brokering wider chasms between KSPedu and stock KSP. He is inserting pain points and creating dividers, and for this, we must all ask for our refunds, or we must take them, by whatever means necessary.

Before I close out my blog, let me quickly note some of the deals Max has brokered for KSP: NASAupdate, Soccer balls, Plushies, Gamer’s edition, Wii, Xbone, PS4 (Flying Tiger), printable ships, Curse, 1.0, and many others. Please feel free to add any that come to mind.

What can you do to fight the base human wrongness and perversion that is Maxmaps? Well, there are many ways to join the fight, but might I recommend BURNING SQUADCAST?

Just posting this for the billies who think they are SDF whenever a new update comes out, don't mind me

I'm even smarter than you! Haha!

For those of you curious, 45/50 amounts to approximately 90%, accounting for significant figures, or the digits that actually mean something in a number (unlike Donald Trump!). Also, according to the American Grading System, I would achieve a borderline A with an A-, with a GPA of 4.0 (darn nerds, LOL). This is what I got on my last Math test. God, everyone said I was stupid since I didn't get the highest score, but the truth is, I was just sick that day! Speaking of everyone, everyone always bullies me, for no reason. I tell the teacher, but they keep bullying me! They say I'm "annoying" and a "nerd", but the thing is, they have a choice to deal with either me or the teacher, and they surely do NOT want the latter!

>>
>>121560771
Why would I do that and compromise it all? And aww, are we still sore that we pushed the russian sensation away so there would be no one left who dared to question the direction? Oh noes, the game is 'worse' for it, whatever shall we do.
>>
>>121560771
Oh and also possibly you "made sure" everyone understood you decided when to release the development news, and how.

>>121560923

I'm sorry, but when did dickless kerbals, exploding buildings, some shit resource with no documentation and an alpha game getting one patch a month have to do with "direction"

You failed. You didn't do the necessary critical thinking. You shuffled papers around and locked your office door and now here you are, trying to act like it was your decision to leave. You are a failure so transcendent it isn't even worth saying your name out loud.
>>
>>121561106
You are adorable. The problem is you assume direction meant doing anything that had to do with fulfilling some design doc or whatever. You know what the actual direction was for me?

To get it noticed. To be the guy who helped make it huge. To sell copies. For someone who spent so long claiming I was lying about caring, you're surprisingly against believing that I truly never did and that you were right.

I do not like repeating myself. You failed to get it noticed. How's that female adoption rate going? I bet you were really excited to talk about it at the white house.

You represented something that I found alarming and felt threatened KSP, I couldn't give less of a shit about your personality, about your character, your soul, I cared about the damage you were doing by the nature of your proximity to KSP.

Too bad you're an anon rusing me. It's still nice to vent.
>>
>>121561668
I don't think you get what I meant by getting noticed, you're still framing it all as being about doing things like getting female equity, for example.

That just was not going to happen. KSP is a nerdgame at its finest, way too complex for the average person to even get into, let alone the average female gamer.

But you know what adding female kerbals gets you? It gets you something you can share in an interview about how much you deeply care about equality in the games industry, and how girls can totally do everything guys can do.

You know what putting emphasis in the wacky and 'arkade' parts of the game gets you? Sales that you can then turn into deals with console companies. Sure, their devices maybe can't even run the game at all, but you can turn that into more PR opportunities, more contacts across the industry. You get invited to panels and you get to be on the official media for the biggest brands in the whole industry.

You get to fill your resume with all those wonderful things you did for that poor indie house. The one day, when you're full, you reach out to one of your contacts in a big studio, ask if there's any available positions, and you move on.

Here's something to put your fired theory to rest; every single person who has been fired by Squad has been made to leave as quietly as possible. Rowsdower, only person who actually quit so far, was allowed to say good bye. Wouldn't the fair thing then be to see how exactly I leave?

So, basically, you turned a lego spaceflight simulator into Miguel Sabido's Resume Entry Generator Ultimate Edition and you took the entire hopes and dreams of the community and Squad and used it for your sole personal gain? If so, then you're a fucking coward.
>>
>>121562835
If we wanna call it cowardice, sure. I'd say it was quite bold! Inhuman, despicable, disgusting, sure! Just don't see the cowardice.
>>
>>121562783
Wasn't my post or my version, it was the original version that you disrupted. Do not make a change unless you have data proving that change is meaningful. Did you split test the two calls to action? Of course you didn't, because you do all your testing in-house, because you're not a cash strapped indie like you claim to be.

>Harder to market.
The level of mediocrity you exude from every orfice makes me.... no, you know what, I'm happy for you, I'm glad you're moving on. I'm sure it was your decision because you hate KSP and you ultimately couldn't have cared less about the children you converted to customers will fare in the long run.

Your absence will be the impetus that leads to a second renaissance for KSP. You were the weight holding us all back. Goodbye.
>>
$10 says the console versions are vaporware
>>
>>121563160
No dummy, I meant you literally were misquoting the second phrase, check the game's main website.

And here's the thing. Maybe it all works out in the end. Maybe whatever spergy glorious version of the game you had in mind does eventually happen. I hope it does, kinda. In reality I don't really care at all. What matters is very simple. I got what I came here for. You just go ahead and keep telling yourself that I failed, that I failed and got fired or whatever helps you think there is some sort of magical force in the universe that rights wrongs and what have you. I'll be at my new job, in charge of a team of people whose only function will be to help me make sure we keep getting Billy to ask Mom for her credit card.
>>

>taking a game from a little over a hundred thousand to over two million players is failing

That happened just because the game was put on Steam. Which wasnt Maxmaps' idea.
>>
>>121562835
This just in: Companies will make shitty arcadey games to ramp up sales and grab all the money they can putting the least amount of work on the game.

And to bh, look at the forums; they go apeshit with every little update, even the shitty ones. That means their marketing is good, doesn't it?
>>
>>121563702
Game came to steam a couple months before I got in. Sales effect had been negligible. You know what the very first thing I did upon getting the job was? Throw free keys of the game to every big name youtuber in my address list in hopes that one would bite. Then the wacky explosion videos started coming and the sales started exploding.

Why do you think we even paid Pewdz to make a vid for 1.0? Cause it works.

>>121563737
See? Thank you.
>>
>>121563737
>That means their marketing is good, doesn't it?

I think that's more of a testament to how stupid your average consumer of "indie" titles is.
It could be considered a good move to market your game to these people, though.
>>
>>121563737
Fuck, I just still thought of Squad as the innocent little indie dev who cares about its community, not an actual game development company that manipulates the masses and its target audience to be oblivious to their flaws and get every last drop of money from them.
>>
>>121563885

>a couple weeks

>>
>>121564259

For now, I'm off with a simple admission, you were right. I don't really think I added anything.

But lord almighty, did I take.
>>
>>121564095
>>121563885

See? Everytime people bring up Squad's indie award, everybody goes crazy and start calling them AAA faggots pretending to be indies. So, why not treat them like that? Treat them like everyother AAA; don't trust them blindly.

We are looking at it from the userbase perspective. But we are not the average userbase. We may be the 10%. The other 90% shit themselves everytime Squad announces something new, they won't spend 15 million dollars on development to get Unity working and get that extra 10% sales. At least this Max pretender looks at it from the companie's wallet perspective.
>>
>>121564376

>maxmaps adds nothing

No, he added -1.
>>
>whatever spergy glorious version of the game you had in mind does eventually happen

I don't give a shit about your new job manipulating kids, I don't give a shit about your lizard-person underhide, you really want to know what that "spergy glorious version of the game" I had in mind was?

I hoped that maybe someone was working on the partcount issues, the stability issues, the kraken, the hard-crashing, the optimization, the emerging but rough art style, the barren planets, the depth of part functionality like damage and tweaking LF/OX. I was hoping there was a plan to develop future tiers and more solar systems, to give Kerbin a real backstory, maybe not use a placeholder map. I was hoping someone was thinking about what a "space program" really means in the context of KSP, meaning ways to save craft files to a cloud server or otherwise migrate them between saves. A way to play games that don't have their lifetimes defined by the update cycle.

You see, the minute you were handed the reins, we were posting about "1.0" soon, because your actions, your words, your intentions, your beliefs, they all pointed to exactly what you're now "revealing" -- that you had no intention to pour your blood sweat and tears into making KSP the full realization of what it could be, you saw a 1.0 shaped hole, and you shoved the game into it, and it shows. For all the reasons above, KSP is not *actually* a complete game. It's a proof of concept, or perhaps just a concept, but you failed to "close the loop" and make the gaminess persistent in a meaningful way.

And if someone were to by chance stumble onto a way to do so and build an enjoyable, revisitable space program, well, they'd lose it to NaN errors soon enough anyway.

B9 knew how to dream, and he knew how to give those dreams form. I wouldn't trade ten thousand of you and your cousins for one of him. He was a golden god and your refusal to throw yourself prostate at his feet reveals your inadequacy.

Why don't you just move on?

Millions of people enjoy this game, it will be available for current gen consoles to reach more people

Isn't the purpose of the game to have fun?

Just stop it /kspg/

If you hate Squad, Max, etc it's fine

But let people enjoy this game.

I wonder how fast the game will crash now with all the new stock parts.
>>
>>121644332
Let's count the new parts:
2.5m jet
1.25m crew cabin
1.25m SSME
1.25m jet (with afterburner)
0.625m jet
0.625m LF tank
0.625m intake
Mk3 shuttle tail thingy
Mk3 Cargo ramp

Now, knowing Porkjet a lot of those will be sharing textures with each other and the other redone parts, as well as using existing texture space. The cargo ramp is probably entirely on the existing cargo bay texture, the jets probably share a bunch of space and the tanks probably use texture space on another texture with revamped parts.

There is likely to be LESS memory used by MORE parts simply because of shared textures.
>>
>>121645165
I'm looking forward to the 2.5m jet.

Finally a cargo plane that has cargo plane capabilities, instead of being able to hit supersonic speeds in the upper atmosphere.

And you still have to post via touching, which is very imprecise compared to a mouse, which is exacerbated by the tininess of the screen, requiring that every button be made enormous to the point of seeming like it was designed to be used by old people
The only time you should be using a phone is when a proper computer isn't available
>>
Now I try to play KSP and enjoy myself. See you guys in seven minutes.

I just remembered you guys exist because I saw my niece playing KSP today, she was having fun and she's 12.

Have you actually met a kid that plays KSP? The game is not that hard. Do you remember the games you were playing when you were 12?

You faggots are retarded if you think anyone over 18 is Squad's target demographic.
>>
So I'm thinking about getting a modpack together centered around colonization, life support, and resource mining/management.

Right now, I've thrown together something with the USI mods, but are there better alternatives out there?
>>
>>121659674
sandbox isn't a game, try playing it in career with a proper progression and goals you have to accomplish, it's literally impossible for anyone but an autist
>>
>>121659674
The only substance to this game is in learning how to play it
Once you know how to play, that's it, the game has nothing more to offer
I doubt this is ideal regardless of the intended demographic
>>
>>121659674
>Do you remember the games you were playing when you were 12?

Probably Super Mario Sunshine, F Zero X, Halo, Empire Earth, and C&C.

You're right, but I don't remember KSP ever being marketed as a full fledge NASA simulator.

Good for you, I was playing MSFS, Sturmovik and Orbiter.

>>

That's why we mod it until it crashes every five minutes

As opposed to the 15 minutes if you're playing stock in the right conditions.

KSP forces you to be retarded, that's what we love to hate about KSP. If you want to post and start meaningful discussion here, delete mechjeb and install RSS/RO, then post, and watch what happens.

Squid is utilizing shadow marketing tactics to promote the idea that it is being actively developed, while shipping all the money offshore and deleting the evidence.

Do you actually NEED the heatshields now?
I havent played in a while.

Serious now, I bought KSP before it even had biomes. There's something they promised to deliver that they still haven't?

But it's a game for kids.

Nathankell added docking port genders at least, just announced on stream

After shimmy complained about the lack of clarity on the bug fixes, btw launchpad collisions are not fixed in 1.0.5. but they are aware of the issue and need to look at the launchpad collider lol 194 days
