I've been going over the SQMP engine looking for ways for the pilots to make their power play. So far, this is the only way to summon Magnus first turn given the cards we already have and without knowing green's effect.

That's a -5, with only a +1 to the field, and in order to do it you have to draw:

So yes, you CAN 6Mat Magnus on your first turn, it just takes an improbable draw and your entire hand to do it. The OCG Imports that Konami gives have a pattern. They pick which ones they want and order them in a specific way which betrays from which set they came into. They wanted to import a D/D core of Caesar, the Savants, the S/T, Leo and Abyss Ragnarok. They did so, but they were ordered in such a way that they follow the chronological Japanese release order.

Just to reiterate.
Konami picks what they want to import
They arrange those imports into 'blocks' of chronological release order.
The 'blocks' contain cards which are ordered relative to the set they came from. So if the first 'block' of cards were JP01, JP05 and JP09 in some random pack, they'd end up as EN90, EN91 and EN92.
Look at DUEA.
They wanted to import the Gaia stuff, some Jump Fiesta stuff, and some promos.

The Gaia stuff came out first in Japan, so it was DUEA EN90-93. Then we had the Promo that came out after that, which was Burner Visor. The Promo after Burner Visor was Felis, which is DUEA EN 95. Then there was the Jump Fiesta stuff, which came out AFTER Felis, so they were AFTER Felis in the set list, being EN 96-99.

From this we can extrapolate that the first two imports are either Vassals, Pre-CROS, or Koreans exclusives. The one that makes the most sense is Pendulum Wizard since it would be a selling point AND already lost a Suscription Poll.
The middle two are cards that are either promos that came out after JP CROS but before JP DOCS or CORE exclusives

Alright, so I'm gonna try to explain tech choices if you guys don't mind.

Most of the lineup should be obvious like the Performage engine, Dracoslayers, Wavering Eyes, and GOSRs.

Samurai Cavalry is a good low scale even if it doesn't immediately generate advantage, it helps against Kozmos since it's non-targetting even if it's destruction and searchable by Wavering Eyes. Archfiends are there for doing nasty things to back row and baiting Wavering Eyes from other pendulum decks, while also providing a high scale when needed. Time-Space is great against everything meta barring Infernoids. Magical Abductor at 2 since she's another low scale, makes people think twice about activating spells, and is a spellcaster for Archfiend Eater and Jigabyte. Speaking of, the goal of these 2 is to turbo into Feral Imps and hit the other scale as quickly as possible, also Archfiend Eater does skilly things with Plushfire and Trick Clown. Storm is there to proc Plushfire, reset scales, and nuke Majespecter's backrow.

The side and extra are where I think I need a little more help.

No lie I debated it having done something similar when I wasn't sure if we were getting Wisdom-Eye yet, but in the end I didn't like it. I primarily like her for her scale level and the fact she's a spellcaster, otherwise I'd probably go with Reptier due to the fact that Kozmos are going to be one of the better decks and having a recurring Catastor is really nice. Especially having come from Dolls where Construct was such a dick to everything.

No but for real being able to summon Big O on the first turn with his 6 materials underneath, that's enough to make the deck at least a powerful rogue deck worth siding an out for. He's probably the game's scariest boss monster currently, and is entire other level above Towers which was already strong as hell and gave plenty of decks trouble.

Proving that the deck can first turn Gundam is enough to make it noteworthy, but being able to consistently turbo out Optimus Prime with a smaller minus is what it'll take to make it meta, and I don't think that will happen.
