I feel powerful because I post on /srg/.

All I have to do in a stream chat is mention I'm an /srg/ regular, and instantly, like a flick of the switch, people stop and pay attention to my words. From that point on, I become known as a dark, dangerous poster with an untold amount of cyber-weaponry at my disposal. People fear me, and I take full advantage of that fact.

Sometimes I wish I wasn't known across twitch as an ambassador of /srg/. Sometimes the pressure to uphold my reputation feels too great. But then I relax. I take deep breaths. And I remember how people freeze when I enter their stream chats. I remember how they grant me moderator privileges based on my name alone. I remember how they cower in fear, knowing that if they were to make one mistake, one misstep, there would be hell to pay.

And all is good in the world once more. My power restored.

But they don't realise that very few things in life actually impact our lives for the better. As cheesy as it sounds. Happiness to an extend really does have to come from within. You have to fix the underlying issue of how your brain thinks/interprets and see's the world. Will not make you happy. It might not make you miserable either but you'll likely just be temporarily distracted untill you settle in your new routines/new body or lifestyle and then the crippling anxiety comes back.

To clarify: It doesn't mean that doing these things can't make you happier or change things for the better. It just won't be the whole-sale solution we sometimes think these things as being. They're mitigators or blockers. Not actual solutions.
