WARZONE INVITE VVVVVRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Are there any free req packs or weapon skins I can get by doing shit online like that asimov looking AR from watching those videos ?
Also fastest way to earn REQ points ? Iven been playing SWAT and Warzone Assault and earn like 700 per swat win.
Gotta love swat spawns
The reception for Locke seems to be much better than for the Arbiter when Halo 2 first came out. People love the Arbiter now, but man the butthurt when people first played as him...
My kingdom for some competent arena team mates.
Plat 3 is a hellhole of uncarryable shitters.
guardians if it's a bunch of no names on both team. Spartans if they're named. but it doesn't matter. about half way in the fight Team Nathan Fillion would happen and beat down both teams. can't kek the buck
Arbiter was kind of out of the blue when that happened.
At least 343 notified everyone months in advance "Hey! That guy Locke from Nightfall is going to be playable!".
I always hate it when people don't follow something and then act as if they weren't informed.
Take Angry Joe, shit, I fucking hate the lack of local splitscreen myself, but they told us that was gone beforehand hand, it was hardly nowhere.
I still fucking hate it though.
It depends, on the hunters either being as retarded as the average hunter usually is and if it's an objective based game mode. Most PvP players (and by extension most hunters) are pure fucking retards. If you get
THE /dg/ ELITEYou might have better odds with the Guardian's not getting fucked up the ass. But Spartans move so much more, being able to dodge AoE shitters, so it's a hard fight.
In terms of tech, Guardians have stuff like the Void and theoretically infinite lives, so I think in most ground engagements they'd take the win. In terms of skill our out of armor battles though, Destiny's got a wide array of stuff to choose from, as Guardians are reincarnations of old, super skilled warriors, but we don't know if (and I really doubt that) they would be able to match SIIs.
And if you follow the old Spartan reincarnation theory as well, Spartans might have that up their sleeve as well.
Don't want to play Arena since team games in 5 are all lone wolves unless you're with friends.
Don't enjoy FFA in Arena since it's even more of a fragfest paired with shitty spawns.
Haven't even explored the majority of the maps on my own (I've probably only dabbled with 3 or 4 total) - it's forgettable shit.
Warzone is fun until you burn out and just want something else.
Like the custom games that don't exist. Like the file share system that doesn't exist.
>no third option to set party to "open"
>everyone has to be friends or rough through the menus to send invites
The moment developers went the route of 'release an unfinished product and/or use microtransactions to pave the way' was the moment gaming as a whole diverted in to a culture for disgusting people.
>mfw scorpion was my first unlock
>mfw oni scorpion unlock was in the same pack
>A new Halo comes out on PC that's available for everyone
>Xbox dies as fans prove to be infinitely more capable than developers.
>343i settles for their plans to make a no-shooting Halo game to profit from instead
>while exploring the dark reaches of space cayde and buck come across a ship with no life support but still has a heat signature on board
>cayde using his spooky ghost and robot powers teleport himslef and buck on board the ship
>they quickly clear the ship finding many locked airlock doors on the way
>the reach the bridge
>slowly creeping into the control room they find a man bundled up in blankets
>Buck carefully wakes the man up
>it's captain malcom reynolds
The height of 26th century individual soldier technology vs. undead energy being with a preternatural affinity for dealing death and personal anti-attrition devices.
Lore-wise I think they wouldn't actually fight each other.
/hg/, if you can help, it'd be much appreciated.
I'm cynical, interruptive, impatient and often self-centred, but I like heart-warming, cozy stuff and wish I could be a better person. Just heard that giving a brief description of yourself often helps makes this sort of stuff easier.
anyone got a warzone group? solo warzone is hella stressful
Whats the matter, bigshots? Cant start your own (Warzone) party?
>tfw decent to good at most of the halo games (~15 kills)
>tfw <10 kills/match in H5:G
>tfw when shit at earlier Halo multiplayer
>tfw 25 kills in H5 SWATnums
Now who would win. Brock Lesnar, OR Warden Eternal
As someone that didn't really enjoy Arbiter when I was a kid, there were two things to it. One has held true, and the other I've abandoned.
The thing I've abandoned is that I didn't understand the plot
because I was 10. Replaying it in H2A, some of the Arbiter cutscenes are really fucking good, like him first becoming the Arbiter.
The thing that I still stand by is that his levels are extremely bland. They're almost entirely just gray Forerunner hallways, with the only variance between them being sickly orange clouds, nothing, snow, and then an eventual forest. Comparing that to Chief, with Cairo station, New Mombasa, stone ruins, a covenant ship, AND all of the gray forerunner hallways makes it more entertaining to play Chief's side. That and his one liners are great.
>14 years old when I finally got Halo 2
>all of the sudden longass cutscene of some naked alien
>"but where the hell is chief, is he gonna warp in and kill everything?"
>shows them in their dropship
>ON THE BLOOD OF OUR FATHERS, ON THE BLOOD OF OUR SONS
>i like where this is going.png.jpg.gif.exe
>they drop the troops and it zooms in on arbiter
>draws energy sword all dramatic
>WARRIORS PREPARE FOR COMBAT
I fucking loved it. It was introduced so god damn well.
>The thing that I still stand by is that his levels are extremely bland.
The first ones are kind of bland but I really liked his missions near the end when you find out the brutes are killing the elites and you find remnant allies along the way, hunters, other high ranking elites, etc
I have every single mongoose/gungoose cert. Still no scorpion cert.
>no regular team training/social slayer variant for the weekend
So what's the deal with REQ packs?
Should I just buy up Bronze packs only for a while?
Or hold out and then spend it large on the Golds and Silvers?
Also why the fuck is armour randomly handed out now?
I'm not thrilled that the only customisation is:
But you know, whatever, but why can't I pick my own gear? Why do I have to gamble and hope the game gives me something good?
>playing warzone assault
>attacking, on to base 2, feeling good, go for a gun
>get a whiplash out of a random common weapon req
>promptly get sniped by someone who was sitting on base 1 behind all of our team, and nobody noticed them until i got killed
im so mad
Fuck breakout is hard.
Whenever you open up a REQ pack cry out MAY JUBILEUS THE CREATOR GRACE YOU.
I've gotten all the armor and skins I wanted.
That's wrong because I watched one of the videos on Waypoint which was about the map design process and they have at least 1 BTB forge map. There was also a map with a lavafall.
>attackers are clearly the better team
>they push us all out, at least half their team constantly in the cap zone
>one of our stray guys always in there every few seconds
>we fucking win
Warzone in general would benefit from a system where it will still cap if there are more assaulters than defenders. I think it would bring balance back completely for the attackers, as well as vanilla Warzone in places like The Fortress where one guy crouching in a corner ruins it for everyone.
If there's equal attackers and defenders, it doesn't move. If there's more attackers, it starts being captured. If there's more defenders, it reverts capture progress or doesn't move.
I've played other games where that's how it works and it's really fun
VOTE FOR CTF
thanks for the good vibes, they worked
>tfw noble armor and securiy helmet in the same gold pack
i knew i had a good feeling when i decided to save up for just one gold instead of buying silver after silver
i personally was like 12 when halo 2 came out and fucking adored the arbiter from day one. favorite halo character, so disappointed when they relegated him to a secondary character in 3.
>be playing Warzone
>be neck and neck with other team
>not looking good for us
>constant assaults on last base
>nearly resign myself to defeat
>like half my team rolls up in Scorpions and Mantises
>like literally 4 tanks good God
>dirty bitches get pushed back
>we skyrocket in points
>Warden shows up
>we've got a 5-way Scorpion gangbang on him
>constant barrage of rockets and bullets, we blow his health down to like 1 in 5 seconds
>some chucklefuck bitch on the other team fires one shot
>they get the kill
>they pass us at about 950
So maybe it's just me, but... I think that's kinda bullshit
I'm just kind of at a loss for words right now.
I don't really know why, but this Halo campaign just feels fucking wrong.
Why the hell are there missions where all I do is talk to three people and its all over?
How is Warzone justifiable in any sense at all? I know its non-invasive. I know I don't have to play that game-mode. However, it gives the best REQ point amounts, and its the only 12v12 game mode at this point, yet it is SO so pay to fucking win it's incredible.
The beta for this game felt so much better. The pistol is incredibly OP, and the BR is basically a power weapon now, seeing that 90% of the map power weapons were swapped from the Beta's weapons to literal dog shit (e.g. Plasma Caster, Hydra).
I wanted this to be another Halo 2/3. I really fucking did.
Campaign is genuinely shit, it's not just you.
You'll have to wait for BTB and all the other game modes. 343 doesn't want to release them until forge is out. The second BTB is out no one will play warzone again.
Anyone playing warzone? Invite?
>Arena randoms ALWAYS split up
>Always lose because some chucklefuck runs into an enemy 4 man squad alone
Why does this keep happening, how can people be this stupid
I don't know how that got on my hard drive
Goodnight, hg. Was fun laughing at Indians and their DESIGNATED streets. Also, if you were one of the people telling others to be mature and stop laughing your no fun
>get Saturnine from preorder
>it's an ultra rare
>because the light is on the bottom right instead of the top right, it looks way better
>and that's before factoring in the purple shading
Why does Saturnine even exist if this thing's a fucking uncommon?
>Warzone Assault on the spire
>someone brings a Scout Warthog up top
>me and buddy kill him, steal it and start doing loops
>bring up Ghosts later
Most fun I've had in this game
This dude fucking knew I existed. He shot me, so I went to fuck him up.
I'm surprised people don't abuse the fuck out of these pillars more. I've gotten so many kills from this kinda shit.
Is there a line of code I can use to make these 480p instead of 720p?
Oh, I just noticed that T Cup stole that assassination.
You can actually pay a theoretically infinite amount of money to gain a theoretically infinite amount of requisitions, so that you have a theoretically infinite advantage over your opponents.
It's a game for the rich man only. If you have all the money, you're allowed to sit at the top forever while everyone else struggles to build up their arsenal.
Eventually, the playing field will level out on its own, which is the only saving grace to be found. But that will still take a very long time.
>spend 1000000$ to get 100000000000000 ONI mantis's
>get to use it once per match because limited by req point system in-game
>gets outplayed and killed by a normal scorpion that everyone has anyway
>all these vehicles you spent all that money on is completely useless in ranked, the only mode that matters for competitive
>pay to win
You realize you can't use any of these 'advantages' you speak of in the ranked playlists right? No one cares if you have a 70% win rate in warzone.
>implying I'm not lucky and got a scorpion cert first pack and now already have 24 scorpions
Arena's comparatively bare-bones in this game, which leads me to believe that 343 put a majority of their focus on Warzone.
And when they design that gamemode to be potentially unfair, it's hard not to think that this was just an asinine attempt to do what you'd normally only try on a mobile game.
They actually aren't that big. Just a little tall.
Its a shame there's probably no forklift in forge
Daily reminder to not panic and always be aware of your surroundings.
I panicked and ran.
But the driver panicked more.
>unlock gold pack
>get DMR with Energy Bayonet
>finally I get to use the DMR in a ga-
>Req Level 8
What the fuck is the point? You only get to use the DMR when you're absolutely raping the enemy team and need to add insult to injury? How often do you even reach level 8?!
Yeah except that's the point of warzone. To get ridiculous weapons like the recon scope energy bayonet AR or double zoom in kinectic energy prometheon DMR or FUCKING GHOSTS WITH EXPLODING PLASMA SHOTS.
The mode is literally for people to get overpowered shit and steamroll everything in a chaotic large battle.
>taking a casual for-fun mode seriously
>Tankmaster X appears
>run right up to his tank unharmed
>thing is barley moving
>no action to board
>left standing there and jumping around like an idiot
>its gunner kills me
So is the covie wraith during warzone unboardable?
VERY IMPORTANT POLL INCOMING
I don't care about stealing it and using it.
But if I reach it first, I should be able to board it and punch it to death.
I agree stealing it and using it would be bullshit but I should be allowed to board it and fuck it up, considering half the time I'm the only one within shooting distance of it
>tfw i got Vale's Stance but still don't have her armor and helmet
This RNG is suffering ;_;
I'm not entirely sure how the fuck that works because I dealt like 80% of the damage to a Knight and then died, and got the medal for the kill when it was finished off by my teammates.
Was that only because it was my teammates that killed it and not the enemy?
>matched against a team of people that must have bought 50+ Gold Req packs because they are all able to spam vehicles near constantly
>scorpion after scorpion
>nobody on our team has certifications so we are limited to terrible power weapons and mongooses
This feels pay to win.
Is this better? I can't help the framerate, because the Xbone only records in 30fps.
What are /hg/'s opinions on the aim acceleration/deadzone problems in H5?
Personally I can definitely tell the difference, and it gimps my play for at least the first few games in a playing session until I adjust. It's most noticeable for me when using a sniper rifle, which sucks because I was a crack shot in previous games.
In the Metal Gear series, shooting a soldier in the but with a tranq dart knocks them out just as fast as a headshot.
It felt weird when I first started but after cranking the sensitivity up and playing a few matches it felt fine.
Sniper rifle actually feels like an improvement to me, I can pull off noscopes semi-frequently now, which I never managed to do in previous games
Less than 24 hours until yahtzee destroys this piece of shit game
Is that an SMG without a sight?
I love when he tears apart games I like. Because it's genuinely funny. Why would I care if he points out all the bad shit, when I'm someone who has played it, and already am aware of said bad shit?
I like H5, and I look forward to him shitting on it.
>video comes out as 720p
>youtube insists that it's only 360p
Am I missing something?
It is the Projection Sight. It makes a hologram ammo counter when it aims, and has increased accuracy from the barrel.
Try 960x540, that's what I use.
What do I know though, my webms are terrible. I just saw someone else using it and ran with it.
Yo, help me out my niggas.
Does this game have SPI armor that the Spartan IIIs used? Like if the armor is a helmet that is upgraded from a SPI helmet, or even if it's just mentioned in passing like the Pilot helmet from Reach, anything Spartan III-ish would be great.
I don't even understand how req's work, will I ever start running out of cards if I use them to much? Or should I just keep 1X of everything and sell everything else?
>shitposts about me when I'm lacking internet
Let's see you talk shit when the telecom company installs my internet tomorrow and I can counter-shitpost at full force nigger.
You consider me part of the /dg/ elite? Whut? I'm like a 1.5kd shitter, I just know alot about the game breh Flattered tho senpai
>go up 2-1 in breakout
>4th person quits for no reason
Night best General, see ya'll in the morning
It's actually an interesting question though, Guardians would almost certainly win, though if Spartans were able to find a way to specifically target and destroy Ghost, things might be different.
What game has the best BR and why is it Halo 2
>That crisp feeling
>sniper rifles were nerfed in Destiny
>but not in halo
>Linda kills Guardians at extreme range with nornfang, shoots the ghosts immediately after killing the guardian, destroying it
Just need a few snipers to instakill all the guardians
S4's would get smashed tho, IMO
>that backflip whenever headshotted from the front
h2 was the shit, senpai
Yep, that's a new way of looking at it.
>Locke can punch a fucking boulder open
>bench press an Elite
>can endure a rifle being shattered in two across his face
>can't stop the recoil of a standard-issue pistol
Spartan IVs a fucking shit.
Those Marines could use some help, Chief! Do what you do best!
Does anyone else find it strange how a lot of shit like REEE NORMIES and other maymay aren't that funny when its posted on 4chan but when someone says in the warzone party its fucking hilarious.
It's satire, usually.
I'm still stuck on "Remember that time John failed the obstacle course and Blue Team could only eat the stolen crackers? Well, what if they ate John's shit."
Meh, actually thought the campaign was pretty good. Of course it wasn't perfect, would liked to have seen more Blue Team missions.
Its biggest problem was the deceptive bait and switch marketing campaign.
desu I was/am a lot more rustled about the lack of MP content at launch (only 3 Warzone maps!) than about the campaign quality
>no recoil, bloom, or spread in this game.
It has a teeny bit of recoil and a small spread and bloom.
Not as much as Reach, but it's still there.
>go watch some CE gameplay.
You have to be joking.
All of the UNSC rifles fire full sized rounds. AR shoots 7.62x51, the BR shoots a 9.5x40 round, the Sniper Rifle fires a 14.5mm round. Regular UNSC troops are seeing firing these with relative ease. I think Spartans experience the same recoil but can recover and move much more quickly than regular troops.
But again, recoil for certain weapons is certainly for gameplay balance rather than keep true with the lore.
Warzone Assault is quite possibly the most unbalanced, stupid mode I've ever seen in a game
>impossible to keep control of points
>by the time your team has been pushed back to the core the enemy team has battle rifles, vehicles and rocket launchers while your still rank 2 because hurr durr mere kills don't give req
Has anyone ever actually successfully defended? I doubt it.
Actually is a grand fucking idea
Call it Warzone Defense. You win with your team if your core isn't destroyed by 1000 Victory Points.
Random "boss mobs" spawn which net around 150 VP per kill, and there's about 3 per match, with the final being worth 200.
So around 350 enemies spawn during the match, and fending them from the core will let your team succeed.
I enjoy Warzone Assault 100x more than regular Warzone.
Regular Warzone I feel like as soon as a team gets a decent lead they're pretty much unstoppable, not saying reversals can't happen but they seem rare.
Whereas Assault I can genuinely see a team managing to wipe out the other for a short team and gaining the lead that way.
Well, I mean the whole match. No timer would be needed, since it'd only come back once the game ends. Otherwise, you can keep spamming Mantiseseses.
Also, I think the built-in timer is REQ energy, anyways.
Can't remember Live login deets. Looks like Reach was my last Halo.
hello where are the groups
>use bumber jumper religiously for Halo
>pick up Halo 5 without really knowing much about it other than 343 is trying to market it more for E Sports
>have a lot of trouble getting adjusted, something just didn't feel right
>people were pulling off ridiculous shots on me from ridiculous angles
>for the life of me can't figure out what's wrong
>on a whim look through the different control figurations
>see that the default literally has the "Smart Link" call of duty shit bound left FUCKING trigger
>it operates in the exact same way as CoD, don't have to toggle it or anything
Holy fuck, I didn't want to believe it but they turned this into Call of Halo... Like I can't believe how dumb I was to think that a Halo game could be released without the Call of Duty shit from seeping into it. How can you fucking faggots even pretend like this isn't the case? I even looked on the forums and saw the 343drones defending it and telling people to up their sensitivity like in Call of Duty for better performance in matches
This game is already experiencing a player drop off and it hasn't even been out for a fucking week.
MAY JUBILEUS THE CREATOR GRACE YOU
>Tito says puurrrrrrfect after getting the medal
>other guy always seems to be in the same party chat ready to respond:
>moooooom he said it again!
Who are you mysterious mom man
>mfw he gets me everytime
>no matter the Warzone group
I love you too no homo
