I've been working on an undertale painting on the side, I've gotten started on a rough compositional sketch for the final surface.

Any advice or suggestions would be welcome, especially with final form Asriel. I wasn't sure how he should look, or what he should be doing. I'm also considering swapping Sans and Papyrus for the symmetrical sizes of characters.

Also, the empty space on the sides will be filled in with all the major and minor side characters standing within a mist.

It kinda sucks that after all that buildup Undyne was a bit of a pushover. During the chase scenes she was a total monster. If you waited long enough in the second chase scene, she'd eventually start chucking out 20 spears through the ground every second non-stop. It was legitimately terrifying. Then you actually fight her and most of her attacks are awful outside of the arrow segments.

My speculation is that he was the brother or something of one of the kids who went missing before him, and stole his dad's gun to get his revenge/get them back. This explains why his stuff is found so close to the core, since he probably managed to push pretty far into the Underground, and also why the monsters are so nervous around humans when Frisk shows up. The last human they saw was on a trigger happy rampage and probably took a bunch of them out. He was probably responsible for a lot of the Amalgamates who 'fell down'.

How do you make games like this? What is the nature of your skillset? Where did you acquire it?

I feel like each of the previous 6 human souls could actually be representative of positive aspects of humanity, which is why, even though they were tainted with evil, they could finally emerge and come to Frisk's aid at the very end.

For instance I think the orange soul with its bandanna could be representative of directness, bluntness, but also Honesty. "Someone who rushes fist-first through all obstacles". Tough glove also sounding like 'tough love' could further emphasize honesty, even when it's not what we wanted to hear.
The stained apron could be Generosity, with its cooking pan that makes food (both for people in general, and for Frisk at the end). The golf course quote mentions care and concern.
The ballerina pieces with their gentle nature would probably be Kindness. You get the idea: I think even though they're presented harshly, they could actually be positive aspects.

Flowey is a soulless amalgam, he can't actually merge with souls. He subjugates them either using his own power or the determination machine.

Regarding Asgore's plan, it might go down similar to how Asriel/Chara works. I think Chara never actually took control of Asriel's body, but he could always convey his feelings and thoughts to Asriel in an attempt to convince him to do something. Except with Asgore, it's 7 other souls yelling at him what to do.
