Boss monsters (like Toriel, Asgore and Asriel) have a vampiric life force thing going on. If boss monsters don't have children, they are ageless and can live forever if they don't die of some other cause.

Ordinary monsters seem to depend on the breed/type.

Papyrus and Undyne are in their early 20's so I think most breeds of monster have human-ish life spans. The ghosts are fucking old, though. Most of the characters are too young to remember when Toriel was still queen, but Napstablook has actually met Toriel when she was visiting the snail farm.

I met up with Asriel ALL the way back to the beginning, and then the UNDERTALE logo with "The End" appeared and I didn't want to quit, I waited for like 10 minutes, was there anything else than the dog sleeping? Well, how Boss Monsters reproduce is by letting a portion of each of their respective souls combine to form the soul of their child, which ages the parents. So maybe they could do just do the same thing, and then the resulting soul would be passed to Asriel. Sans can manipulate time, which means he can also manipulate space and gravity because they're actually all the same thing. Space is matter, gravity is an inseparable component of matter and without space there is no time. So warping, traveling through time and reversing gravity are all just parts of one ability.

Pacifist run will take you all day maybe if you savor all the small things

Genocide will probably take longer due to having to cope with having to actually gitgud at the combat mechanics. If you are good at them (genuinely good), it might take maybe AS long as a pacifist route, but if you have stuff to learn, genocide's 2 actual bosses will rake you through the coals for a while

The genocide run is a lot weaker because the pacifist run isn't your typical RPG combat, it's inventive and fun and doesn't really rely on grinding to level up. While the combat in genocide is still more involved than typical RPG gameplay, you don't feel as clever and you get rid of a lot of the interesting characters and interaction in the game that are in the pacifist run, and to a lesser extent neutral.

Flowey taunts you and says ultimately you'll compromise your values and kill out of desperation or frustration, but proving him wrong and being a hero is more satisfying - if you kill, you lose a bit of what makes you interesting because then you're like plenty of other RPG protags and not as unique.

It makes for a good contrast, but lacks the charm of the pacifist runs.
