It's funny how the Hunter mirrors that of Villager from Smash. Both avatar characters from popular game series (especially in Japan) that were rejected for Marvel 3 and Brawl respectively, but then included in the following game.

I suppose they eventually caved in due to how even bigger/more popular both Monster Hunter and Animal Crossing have become since 2008/2010.

Part of the reason MonHun was so popular was because of the success in japan where portable consoles are more viable because of the large amount of commuting time.

Again, Fox only has hollywood right to X Men like movies and live action tv shows. Marvel can use them in cartoons, comics, vidya freely without giving any money to fox. Is just that Marvel is salty that Fox is basically latching on to them and can't use X Men in the MCU. Same goes with F4 characters like Galactus and Doom. If Sony wouldn't have made that deal with Marvel with Spider-Man, he would have not been in Infinite like the X Men.
