I agree with people's criticisms of the story but the gameplay of 4 felt more fleshed out. It actually made me enjoy Bentley's hacking mini games and all of the side characters being offshoots of Sly's natural abilities kept things fresh while also familiar.

Sly2 is the opposite for me, I liked the story but disliked how crowded the overworlds felt and how it came at the cost of the more fun straight platforming the original game had.

They undid the ending of Sly 3 by just saying "lmao had the itch"

Bob was a terrible idea, and that whole episode ruined an otherwise ok game. Bob is somehow known as "the first cooper" for no reason. Murray having a necklace from that exact place and time is absolutely idiotic. You can also see clockwerk in this episode which makes absolutely no sense. Apparently Bob is the first cooper, yet clockwerk is already a metallic owl, meaning he has already been pissed off at Bob long enough to become a robot. The cliffhanger was also pretty shit and didn't seem to have any thought put into it. A literal "open ended" ending so they could make a sequel for shekels if they wanted.

Carmelita also seems younger than she did in Sly 3.

You're face to face with the mastermind who's the reason Behind sly's slain family and the subsequent hardship of retrieving and piecing back the Theviuius Racconus. around the end of the game from the start of the final location, there's buildup to the identity of clockwork himself and how he's more tied into the cooper gang history than is possible to imagine

When you arrive at his base, he uses emotional manipulation to lure sly into an obvious trap that involes a literal gassing as well as using a number of contraptions and monstrosities to try and kill you and and gang. This is unlike anything the other Fiendish 5 members presented.

When he's finnaly revealed, not only does he turn out to be mechanical, but in the sly world of anthropomorphic creatures, clockwork looks wholly like an actual bird. One that can speak. Everything about his design is unsettling from his voice to the mechnical limbs movement. As he lays down his motivations, it becomes more clear how unnatural and inhuman Clockwork really is, not simply a machincal monstrosity in body alone.

With all that said and some, all that's left is a fight, a fight against an unfeeling yet vengeful metal bird that can shoot out a number weapons and even more eerily, his body could survive extreme amounts of damage and even regenerate. The only way to end this fight wasnt simply to defeat him and leave him for the authorities like the others but to put an end to him permanently or die. And so we smash his head to pieces and put an end to a harsh evil that's plagued the cooper family for untold number of centuries. And to top it off, it required the efforts of the entire cooper gang and 1 Interpol detective, someone who would be far from being seen working with criminals just to stop other criminals

In all honesty what is the possibility of us getting Sly V or at the least Sly Collection for PS4

I played through all 3 games after not playing 1 and 2 for a long time and having never played 3. I actually think 3 is the best because 2 becomes very formulaic and drags with several bosses having 2 levels. Sly gets boring, Bentley stays decent and Murray is mindless. Sly 3's variety could be seen as a bad thing to some people but I welcomed it after just playing Sly 2. Some gameplay styles didn't work but most were enjoyable and it made the processes in the heists feel bigger. I also thought the levels were better designed since they didn't need to make 2 levels. The story is more interesting as well to me.

Am I making a mistake by playing the Vita ports? The sound is awful, but I don't know if the games are particularly known for their sound. Graphics are about on-par with the PS2 (The assets are 1:1 as far as I'm aware, but the resolution is slightly higher) but the added portability and widescreen support is nice.
