Unfortunately I have to agree with you there, and it's a huge shame because when it actually works, uncharted has top tier gameplay. I had a lot of fun during most encounters on Crushing difficulty, thanks to all the ways you can hide and and move away from enemies flanking you from all over the place was very intense and rewarding once you managed to beat everyone by jumping and hiding all over the place. Too bad after every good encounter you have several shit ones that rely on stealth, lots of shitty climbing, lots of mediocre cutscenes.

3 has far more than just 2 set pieces. Plane, ship, burning mansion, pub brawl, falling apart ancient city, desert walk, hallucinations/djinn, desert convoy.

I was drawing parallels to the news on and uncharted and TLOU are the same in terms of being games that are narrative heavy over actual gameplay where your hand is held the entire way. I mean it's not hard look at a Tomb Raider 2 walkthrough then compare it to Uncharted. Tomb Raider actually had rewarding gameplay that forced you to explore and rack your brain and if you fucked up you were punished with death but thats what made the game great. The only difficulty found in these games is when you rank the difficulty up and enemies nearly one shot you which is lazy difficulty.
