1070 runs every game I play at 240FPS, not sure what you're memeing. CPU is much more important at high framerates and low resolutions which is why I got a binned 7700k.

There is no 'motion sickness' from 240hz, it's actually easier on the eyes. Dunno about diminishing returns but the difference between 144hz and 240hz is extremely noticeable, I notice it any time my settings for a game get rolled back to 144hz accidentally.
