It's the first and only Zelda game I hated and regretted purchasing, and I've played and completed almost every zelda besides Link's Crossbow Training and BoTW. I had 4 available friends to play it with and we made an effort to meet up locally to play it together and complete it.
It was a complete snore and had no challenge to it once we figured out how to play, we had to make our own fun by sabotaging each other or purposely fucking up for shits and giggles. I couldn't stand the localization either but at least the game was somewhat humorous from time to time. When we weren't playing together, I tried it online with randoms and we operated like a well oiled machine and left before the next stage was up.

This. Most underrated goes to Minish Cap (with second to Spirit Tracks), a lot of the things people praise later games for started there.
