This is the longest fucking demo I've ever played, but I still wish it was longer. I enjoyed every single second of it. I was kind of worried about the battles because they looked boring as fuck from the footage I'd seen but, even though they are simple, they're actually pretty engaging. I love the world, I love the characters, I really love the adorable wyverian voice acting, and above all I love the cute art style. Everything about the game is just an ultra comfy version of Monster Hunter, and it's exactly what I needed.

I like it. The combat really clicked on the first boss. Navirou isn't as annoying as he was in what I saw of the anime. My one problem is probably some monsters feel really weird to control riding on the overworld.

Right now we only have the demo, but it's pretty fucking good. Use the wrong attack on a boss and it can take out over half your HP. And like MonHun, you have a limited amount of items to bring into battle.

Yeah, in Japan it only sold a few hundred thousand, which while pretty good for the target audience, not what Capcom was expecting and probably not enough to make back what they put into the project. In particular they were hoping it would bring more kids into the series, but most people who bought the game were actually existing older fans.

Co-op 3D beat-em-up co-developed with Treasure. Five playable characters with their own customizable hand-to-hand movesets in Mail Mode, every "Gaist" boss drops their own armor when defeated which when equipped each has their own moveset in Weapon Mode, and then there's "Extreme Mode" where you turn into the armor's Gaist itself and get to do what it could as a boss. I'm pretty sure the anime is the main culpirt here. MHS anime is garbage so the game didn't caught on with the kids like it was supposed to. Yokai Watch is apperentely fun so it didn't matter that the game was total ass (In fact the first YW sold horribly before the anime took off), people bought it so their kids could play as their favorite cartoon characters on their handheld console. You can't control what moves your partner does so it's PURELY luck based wether it's gonna be a hard or easy boss fight. Weird cause my silver rathalos has a move that deals about 250 damage a hit for 5hits and it's set to power. Each monster has their preference over which type it will use but will obviously mix it up between using their moves or another typing. Does it get harder? Combat seems to boil down to rock paper scizzors atm. Basically comes down to what kind of abilities we get, how often later enemies keep you on your toes, how late in the game am i dealing with pleb enemies that use just one attack type.
